Deer Park View care home, in Teddington, Middlesex, has been praised in its latest CQC inspection report for having a calm, caring and attentive team who know their residents well.
The home was rated as providing a ‘good’ care service across all five of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) categories – safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led – in the inspection which took place in August.
Part of the Caring Homes Group, At Deer Park View care home we provide residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 60 elderly people. It is one of Caring Homes’ newest care centres and benefits from our many years’ experience of providing care of the highest standard. Laid out over three storeys, each floor is self-contained, ensuring that residents enjoy close care and support – creating three linked communities under one roof.
Residents and their relatives were very positive about the home. One person said; “The staff are brilliant, they all want to help and nothing is too much trouble.” Another added; “Staff are all lovely, they are dedicated and I’m very happy here.”
The report continues, stating that the home had a warm and friendly atmosphere and visitors said they were always made to feel welcome. Colleagues were seen to provide a good level of support and care that was delivered in a respectful and dignified way.
The home’s management team were seen to be approachable, responsive and encouraged feedback as well as consistently monitoring and assessing the quality of the service provided.

To find out about life at Deer Park View the inspectors spoke with nine people, three relatives, 14 colleagues and the registered manager. The team checked records, policies and procedures including staff training, supervision and appraisal systems and the home’s maintenance and quality assurance systems. They looked at personal care and support plans for six people and eight staff files.
