My mum is very happy and well cared for at Deer park.. All the staff are friendly and helpful if we have any requests or concerns. They are always happy to help and mum enjoys all the daily activities.

Staff and managers are helpful and friendly. The room accommodation is spacious (for a care home) and in particular the large en-suite shower room made moving around with mobility aid much easier than expected. We like the french doors that can be opened to allow fresh air in, and location next...
The outside space is limited which isn't surprising given the location, but it is accessible and pleasant, and being next to Bushy Park is nice, and I have never had issues when parking to visit.

We have booked our Mum with dementia for a respite care for a week. All staff were all nice and seems friendly. Howevee, when we collected her, we have noticed on that night that she developed moist associated skin damage under her right breast. She was feeling itchy and in pain. Our Mum said,...
We have booked our Mum with dementia for a respite care for a week. All staff were all nice and seems friendly. Howevee, when we collected her, we have noticed on that night that she developed moist associated skin damage under her right breast. She was feeling itchy and in pain. Our Mum said, she was only give one bath for the whole whilst she's been used to daily bathing with us. Mum can't do her personal bathing and changing of clothes hence she needs help, and it was discussed during her assessment. She has developed any pressure ulcer or skin damaged with us. So unfortunate, that this happened during her stay in just one week. Although, facilities are all clean and today.
We have contacted Mum's GP for the treatment, so she is better now in just few days of daily wash and hudrocortisone cream.
I have emailed them about our concern but have not receive any feedback from them yet.

My mother has been treated with such dignity, politeness, friendliness and a warm welcome not only for her but me and my wife too and our family. Getting to know the staff on the first floor and in reception we were most struck by the dedication and care to the residents. Gradually my mum was encouraged to get involved in some of the activities but always at her own pace. Her wishes were always respected. Full respect and gratitude to all involved in her care. I couldn't recommend this care home more highly!

Deer Park View Care Centre has the feel of a small hotel. Nice reception area and a happy buzz. It is clean, warm and all the staff, without exception are friendly and communicative. The Pet Therapy and 'visiting farm' were particularly popular with my father. Access to physio and medical care is extremely proactive. It was with great sadness that my husband and I decided we could no longer manage to look after Mum at home and that she would have to go into a care home. When I looked around Deer Park View, it had a friendly feel about it. Mum wasn’t keen to move at first, but she settled in very quickly and always has a big smile on her face. Deer Park View made the move very simple for us as they did things like label all Mum’s clothes and arrange all the details for change of doctors, etc. I was very impressed that they also had a discussion about end-of-life care so that we don’t have to have that sort of discussion at a more difficult time. There are lots of lovely, friendly staff around, and they take wonderful care of Mum. Mum has been able to have her favourite newspaper every day, which means a lot to her. We are always greeted with happy, smiling faces whenever we arrive; it feels like one big family.
