Deer Park View Care Centre in Teddington, named because it overlooks the historic Royal hunting ground of Bushy Park, offers residential, nursing and dementia care.

The home is organised so as to create a homely and social feel with a comfortable lounge and social areas.

The specialist dementia training equips the hospitality team and chefs with the skills and knowledge to stimulate senses and increase creativity in the cooking and presentation of food. This can provide a much-improved dining experience for residents living with dementia and or dysphagia.

Since my wife was admitted at the end of April I have been delighted with all that has been done to make my wife as comfortable as possible. The anner in which they carry out their duties is wonderful to see, efficient and always ready to smile. I am so grateful to all at Deer Park for everything.

Deer View are very welcoming on arrival, all the care staff are friendly and cheerful. Very clean with lovely refreshments. I would definitely recommend this home, my mother is getting great care.

Walking into reception everyone is so friendly and inviting this runs throughout the whole home. The staff are to be applauded for their patience and understanding their work for their work. My husbands clothes are kept in good clean and tidy that is a big thing for me.The activities are so social and
good acts. The exercises are important, and the residence enjoy each other. Once smile leads to another.

- We arrived to visit a newly admitted friend.
- Plenty of parking.
- Warm and courteous welcome by receptionist.
- All staff without exception were very attentive to us.
- It was good to see our friend was taking part in physical exercises even though
it was her first full day. She was very

Deer Park View Care Centre has the feel of a small hotel. Nice reception area and a happy buzz. It is clean, warm and all the staff, without exception are friendly and communicative. Residents are treated with respect and good humour. Attention to detail is excellent.The activities are well planned
and broadly appealing. The Pet Therapy and 'visiting farm' were particularly popular with my father. Access to physio and medical care is extremely proactive. My father is never lonely, someone is never far away with a friendly smile or greeting. A really lovely place!

All the staff are caring, compassionate and extremely helpful. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Everywhere is kept clean and tidy and it has a lovely homely feel. There are a variety of activities and exercise classes and residents can choose what they want to participate in. It is a relief
to me to know that my husband is being extremely well looked after.

The staff are always friendly and keen to help if I need any assistance. It is always clean and tidy in the home as well and my dad is looked after well. It also has a good list of activities that the residents can get involved with and the newsletter is really good.

Dad has had the best care here at Deer Park View. he is well cared for and nothing is too much for anyone that dad has contact with. Everyone is friendly, caring and approachable. Deer Park View is a lovely homely place to be at.

My grandmother has been at Deer Park View for three months now. All of the staff have been welcoming and caring. They have helped her settle into a routine and look after her needs very well. It's lovely to be kept informed by the nurses and staff and communication is excellent. I would recommend this

My father was admitted following a decline in his health and mobility. After many discussions, he finally agreed to leave his home and move into Deer Park View, which would be nearer to me. Everyone was supportive on his arrival, making him feel welcome, which helped him confirm that the move was the
right thing to do. All the staff are supportive, friendly and respectful when delivering care, medication and changing his dressings. Cannot fault them.

It was with great sadness that my husband and I decided we could no longer manage to look after Mum at home and that she would have to go into a care home. When I looked around Deer Park View, it had a friendly feel about it. Mum wasn’t keen to move at first, but she settled in very quickly and always
has a big smile on her face. Deer Park View made the move very simple for us as they did things like label all Mum’s clothes and arrange all the details for change of doctors, etc. I was very impressed that they also had a discussion about end-of-life care so that we don’t have to have that sort of discussion at a more difficult time. There are lots of lovely, friendly staff around, and they take wonderful care of Mum. Mum has been able to have her favourite newspaper every day, which means a lot to her. We are always greeted with happy, smiling faces whenever we arrive; it feels like one big family.

I recently spent 14 days of rest and recuperation at this care home. Initially, the prospect of this stay caused me some concern but in the event, my misgivings were short-lived. The home was very comfortable and well-run and the staff were excellent. Their efficiency, kindness, patience and cheerful
disposition helped to make my stay a very pleasant one. I would not hesitate to recommend Deer Park View to anyone who has the need.

My husband was admitted following hospital treatment after a bad fall and was diagnosed with mixed dementia prior to admittance. I didn't know what to expect and knew nothing about dementia. The nursing staff and carers were kindness itself, both to me and my husband. One or two problems as time went
on and I was lost in a maze of assessments and legalese but the manager helped me through and was always on hand.

I feel very grateful that we were lucky enough to find Deer Park View.
My partner came to stay after a hospital admission in 2021 which then became long-term - the manager was really supportive and helpful at a very difficult time. I had previously discounted residential care for him based on visits
to other care homes, but his dementia had progressed to the point that it was really the only option. The staff at Deer Park View Care Centre are all absolutely fantastic, always cheerful and very kind and patient. They are evidently genuinely fond of the residents. I know my partner is safe and well looked after. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is great. Visitors are made to feel really welcome. I cannot recommend Deer Park View highly enough.

Staff are always very professional and caring. Everyone is very friendly. Spacious home so residents can wander around, if able, rather than just be stuck in one room in front of the TV. Rooms are bright and pleasant and feeling that residents are safe and well cared for.

My mother is very well looked after by the staff and the location across the road from the park is ideal for a simple outing for fresh air and the occasional picnic. My mother has been at Deer Park View Care Centre for almost seven years and I've had no cause for complaint.

Job Title: Home Manager

Originally from Scotland, I started my working life in banking, before deciding to complete a university degree. I then took some time out and travelled around the world to Australia. I have now worked in care for 14 years within sheltered housing, extra care housing, care homes and nursing homes.


As Home Manager it is my job to listen to our residents, lead the team, answer queries from families and ensure all our compliance requirements are met. I want to ensure that my residents and my team are happy and seeing that brings me joy in my role. I love to create a warm, welcoming vibrant home and make an impact.


The atmosphere is extremely important and it ensures that everyone I am responsible for feels part of our community and that each day is a good day and strive for positive feedback on what we do.


I believe everything that we do at Deer Park View, we put our heart and soul into it, we are passionate about the work and believe in improving the lives of our residents. I always hope to have a positive impact on the place I work in and ensure we have a lively, full, and happy home.


My biggest achievement was completing my Social Work degree whilst working. I have lived in the local area for over 5 years and one of the highlights of our location is Bushy Park just across the road. We also have Kingston nearby with lots of shops and activities.
