Satisfactory. As indicated below, key features were no worse and frequently better than satisfactory.

Misinformed on smoking policy, where smoking in the garden is not allowed, despite earlier assurances. Small allocated space, dirty and unsanitary, in breach of Health and Safety requirements. Advised that improvements requested by management were discouraged (by HSE?) as a deterrent.

A very friendly atmosphere from the moment you enter the home. There are always plenty of staff around, who can attend to residents needs. Staff - nurses, care assistants, chefs are all very friendly to residents and act very professionally.

There is a good range of activities organised each week, which cater for the residents requirements. I am very pleased with the care and nursing support provided. Each resident is treated as a unique individual.

My care home manager and the clinical care manager are always available if one has any queries etc. The carers seem kind and patient despite having to care from high dementia residents who can be quite difficult.

The carers interact with the residents very well. Activities are provided with the resident very well. Activities are provided most afternoons which the residents seem to enjoy. There is plenty of food and drinks and a balanced diet.

My friend has lived in Deer Park View for over 18 months. The excellent care she has received from totally dedicated staff encouraged me to consider Deer Park View for my husband. I never worry that they will be abused. I am confident that the culture of the home would never allow this. Deer Park View has an excellent manager and well-trained staff who work together as a team. The atmosphere at Deer Park is calm and peaceful, peace of mind for relatives and friends is a key component for the overall success of the home.

My 100 year old father went to Deer Park View for three weeks respite care. From the first contact with the receptionist all the staff, carers, nurses, management, admin and cleaners were unfailingly helpful and approachable. They immediately remembered who I was. The carers regularly took my father for walks at Bushy Park and helped him recover. I cannot fault the care and atmosphere.

During our first month at this Nursing Home, every member of staff has acted in an exemplary manner, from the Manager through the Nursing and Support staffs.

The Home is efficient, sensitive and most of all kind to patients and relatives alike. The attention to detail is remarkable.

The diligence with which patient care needs are delivered is admirable.

What could have been a traumatic transition for my wife was beautifully handled. I cannot overstate my admiration for the whole team.

My husband has only been here for two months. I cannot praise the staff to highly. They are caring and kind, always smiling and happy. Everything is done properly. I can go home and know my husband will be looked after, and not worry he is being neglected. My husband is very happy here, and has a rapport with staff. We waited six months to get here.

I am very happy to write an excellent review for the care of my mother at Deer Park View. My mother had severe dementia and the nursing team on the second floor, led by two sister carers were very caring, compassionate, friendly, approachable and always very professional. I have never had a single moments concern about the care my mother received, including her terminal care. This is a very well run home with manager that provide an extremely high level of compassionate care for all the family.

My father was recently admitted to Deer Park View Care Centre which was a very stressful transition for the family members. We were not only very impressed by the high quality of care and incredible support for my father in the transition period, but we found it immensely reassuring to have some complex family issues dealt with so smoothly by the manager. In fact the main reason we chose Deer Park View was because of the managers' communication skills. Her wisdom, knowledge and excellent leadership skills have a ripple on effect to the staff members. Every staff member that we came in contact with seems to be friendly, happy in their role and so willing to provide everything possible to make my father comfortable and safe. We feel certain that my father is in a high quality care home and that he is in very safe and capable hands.

This home which used to have several short comings has been greatly improved by the arrival of a new manager about two years ago. The staff are now well trained and dedicated, my wife who has Parkinson's and other complications is well looked after and enjoys some of the activities. A rigorous schedule of pills is adhered to with only very occasional hiccups. I am made very welcome when I visit.

Deer park View an open door policy which is very comfortable to work with. Reception is always welcoming, friendly and upbeat. My mother is settled and is cared for wonderfully by the staff. The nursing team are particularly good at picking up any issues that arrive with her health. They are very good at picking up on mood changes. I have always spoken highly to friends and family of the excellent care she receives.
