Linden House participate in Walking Football Match

On 27th September 2017 one of Linden House residents was reunited with her old high school Nonsuch High School and played walking football with school kids and Sutton United FC.

Nonsuch High School for Girls in Cheam organized two fun days of walking football and a music tea for care home residents, including ex-pupil and nonagenarian Joan Manton (Linden House).

Head girl Lauren Emanuel (a volunteer at Linden House) has organized the events with the help of her school friends as well as Head Teacher Amy Cavilla and Age Concern.

The residents and staff from Linden house and another residential home in Epsom attended.

The second event, a music tea, took place at the school on October 17 with the high tea experience enhanced by students’ showcasing their own musical talent.

It was attended by Mayor of Epsom and Ewell, Councillor Liz Frost, and her Consort Councillor Chris Frost as well as Dora May Hancock from Age Concern Epsom, Miss Gillian Lownsbrough from Age Concern Banstead, and my resident’s and staff from Linden House and day centres through Age Concern.

When the resident’s retuned to the care home said how wonderful it was and that they enjoyed both events.
