My mum has been a resident at Linden House for over three years and on my frequent visits I can see that it truly feels like home to her. The staff are wonderful and there is always such a friendly and happy atmosphere throughout the House whenever I visit. Mum has made some nice friends and really
enjoys joining in with the various activities when she is able. She is Happy and her dementia has not progressed and I feel reassured knowing she is in an environment where the staff genuinely understand her needs and know how to communicate with her in such a caring, experienced and professional way.

As soon as you walk through the door there is always a smile and a cheery word and the offer of a tea or coffee. Linden House is always clean, the food is good and there is always great attention to detail. It's a hard decision to place a loved one into permanent care but my husband is treated with
dignity and respect and always with a ready smile and a joke.
Help and advice is always available.

Linden house staff are always very supportive and attentive. The team ensures My nan gets involved in the activities which is so nice to see and management have gone above and beyond to make sure her room is exactly how she likes it with her favourite colours and family pictures hung all around. They've
made sure it's as comfortable and homelike as possible. When we visit everyone is so nice and always go above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

I want to start by saying how unbelievably lucky we are to have Linden House caring for my grandmother. The staff and owners care about the residents like their own family, which is extremely reassuring and heartwarming to observe.

The facilities keep improving, the place is clean and welcoming,

and every member of staff I've met is exceptional.

We're always delighted to see how many activities she gets to take part in and all the highlight pictures that decorate the walls at Linden House. My Nan would barely leave the house before she was ill (despite our best efforts), and now she's been taken to the races on a fantastic day out!

I also want to highlight how attentive the staff and owners are. If she gets a cold or there's any change in habits, the doctor is booked, we're informed and she's thoroughly checked over.

5 star service by 5 star people.

From my very first day volunteering here, I have felt so welcomed and appreciated. The staff are so sweet and supportive, and they are always open to helping us with anything we need. Seeing how they interact with the residents is so heartwarming, and every resident I've spoken to here has expressed
how happy they are here and how kindly the staff treat them.

An excellent care home where the level of care and support is outstanding. Even the owners are hands on! The home puts on a daily range of activities to help the residents both mentally and physically. An activities schedule is emailed to us each week so we can see what is happening and when day by
day. The entire home has recently been refurbished inside and out, and provides a fantastic environment for the residents. This has to be one of the best homes in Epsom and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking residential care. The owners even laid on a day out to Epsom races with the use of a private box for some of the residents ( my mother in law included ) and she had a marvellous time.

The new(old but returned ) managers, Reshma & Patrick are truly amazing , kind, compassionate, thoughtful and thorough. The residents and home went through turmoil until both Reshma and Patrick retuned but thankfully the home is now moving forward.

Since Linden house has been run by the new team the whole place has changed for the better. Sach - Shaun and the team have put their heart and soul into ensuring the residents and their needs come first. New members of staff have be bought in and the overall feeling of the home is just happiness.
Everyone is so happy, uplifting and caring. At mealtimes the residents are given a choice of food and the standard and quality of the food is really high with a well thought out menu with quality ingredients. There is a lot of compassion and care for all the residents. The staff are all so kind and welcoming and go above and beyond to make the residents and their families welcome. There is activities organised for the residents on a weekly basis and time for the residents to relax and just be. There is a high standard of professionalism , and a high onus is being put on making it a beautiful home. The communal and private spaces are kept clean and tidy at all times to a high level.

My father has been in Linden House for over a month. We moved Dad from another home due to behavioural issues (the previous home could not cater for his needs) and into Linden. The staff seem to manage my father's issues by being vigilant and stopping anything before it progresses. Dad is calm and seems
content where he is. The large space means he is able to walk around freely which he seems to be doing constantly. The bedroom is lovely, clean and calm, a great space to relax in with a lovely view. The food is excellent, fresh and varied.

All staff and management are caring and considerate involving Dad in conversation and their daily tasks.

It would be good if there were more planned activities, a programme would be useful advising what is happening and when. Dementia is a cruel cruel illness and I just hope Dad now feels safe in his new home and cared for.

Reply from Reshma Tupsy, Manager at Linden HouseDear Jane,
Thank you for your kind words.
We are actively recruiting for an activities coordinator. Rest assured daily activities are still taking place in their absence.
I will send you the activities plan and ensure you are kept in the loop going forward.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.902)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.902) out of 10 for Linden House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 38 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.902 for Linden House is calculated as follows: ( (412 Excellents x 5) + (35 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 451 Ratings = 4.902
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Linden House is based on 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 registered maximum number of service users is 6.4, which has been reached with 38 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2016

I joined Linden House in 2016 as a care assistant, and for the past nine years I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team. Though Linden House is a small home, it is one where consistency, compassion, and exceptional quality of care truly matter. We are committed to a gold-standard framework that ensures every resident feels safe, supported, and genuinely loved.

Having worked in every role throughout my time here, I now step into management with a deep, firsthand understanding of what it truly takes to serve our residents well. This experience allows me to lead with insight, empathy, and a clear vision of how to uphold the highest standards of care.

Alongside my work at Linden House, I am also currently pursuing my nursing qualification, further strengthening my ability to provide the very best for those who call our home theirs.
