Definitely a home from home. My mother in law settled in very well and was allowed to take her beloved dog who both quickly became much loved and well looked after. The staff are so caring, responsive and lovely. Highly recommended.

The management team and staff are fantastic and have gone above and beyond to ensure my step-dad is content. His needs are paramount, the care here is literally the best we have seen and are thrilled we have finally found the best home he can spend the rest of his life in.

Our dad was recently moved to Linden House, and as a family would like to thank the management and staff for their kindness and support during the transfer. They have been accommodating and sincere and made him feel instantly at home. There is a caring atmosphere at Linden House and a feeling that nothing
is too much trouble. There is a very clear focus to offer the best possible care to all the residents while giving peace of mind to our family that our dad is in the best possible place. Thank you Linden House we are extremely grateful to you.

The first day we took the resident to Linden House her grandaughter and I met the home manager. She was very caring and professional. We knew straight away that the resident was in good hands and had nothing to worry about. I have met all the staff, they like the resident a lot. Marks out of 10? 10!

My stay here has been for a month. I have been well looked after, the staff are very good. No complaints whatsoever. Even at night if you need help, you just have to press your buzzer and someone comes straight away.
Am happy to recommend this home to anyone who needs a care home.

Having experienced 2 other care homes for my mum in the last three years, I'm delighted to say Linden House is definitely 3rd time lucky! My mother-in-law came to Linden House in March. Our discussions with the manager before and since have been excellent. Communication is very good and we've felt listened
to and supported throughout. The level of care from everyone we've encountered has been exemplary.

I had to move my 95 year old mum into a care home at quite short notice. She has lived alone for the last 30 years and been completely independent, and so the move was quite confusing and upsetting for her. The management team and staff at Linden House have been wonderful in settling my mum into her
new surroundings and reassuring both her and me during a difficult time. Their care for her, and their help and advice for me, has been excellent.

Over the past four years my mother has enjoyed the various activities from clay art, quizzes, singing, keep fit, skittles, scrabble, too many visiting musical acts. Her care has always been excellent allowing her individual characteristics to shine when moving around the home and meeting the other residents.
As well as reassuring her when her anxieties took control especially during the night. As with my father, the generosity of their time and care when mum became ill was tremendous. Allowing us access in these difficult times, contacting GPs, district nurses and working with her. Resulting in a peaceful and calm departure from this world for both of them. Thank you to all the staff, you are stars.

My mum went to Linden House for 2 weeks of respite care but settled in so well that we decided that this was the best place for her. The staff have been very understanding of her complex needs and nothing has been too much trouble for them. My mum has gained more mobility and is interacting with other
residents, they have got her knitting again too. They are always on the end of the phone with daily updates. Very friendly staff. I can recommend this home to anyone, they have been a massive help to my mum and the family.

I had a very positive visit with my mum on the 18th of December (just before we were put into tier 4). Visits only allowed outside but clearly too cold for the residents. So they made their gazebo into a little Christmas grotto, fully enclosed, decorated and heated. Although separated by a perspex wall
both sides were warm and inviting. They even had a CD player on the visitor's side, so mum and I had a Christmas sing-song. It's been hard this year not being able to see mum but this was one of the best visits I've experienced even with all the restrictions. The staff have gone above and beyond to keep residents, visitors and staff safe.

I visited my mum in the new "pod". Having done many visits in the summer in the garden it was great to see Mum again but inside. The pod means there is somewhere warm to sit and chat that is decorated with artwork and photographs of the residents. It has a screen between you and the resident which means
contact is impossible but you can see one another.
The home has done a fantastic job keeping residents safe during the pandemic and have remained cheerful and caring throughout. The new activities lady has kept them engaged and making Christmas decorations most recently which are up making the home look festive.
Thank you to all who work there making this an exceptional home. Happy Christmas to you all!

The Linden House team have worked so hard during the pandemic to keep me in touch with my dad. I visited him this afternoon in the newly built outdoor facility. It is a fantastic garden pod, so thoughtfully created and furnished to make it warm and homely. I had a lovely visit with Dad and he looked
well and content. A member of staff came in to check on Dad a couple of times, as of course, I was unable to support him due to the necessary perspex divide. The mix of privacy and providing attentive care was just right. At the end of my visit, a member of staff spoke to me about Dad's progress and helped him to say 'goodbye'. All this made for a great visit experience in very difficult times.

Worried about leaving Mum for the first time. Especially given current pandemic situation. I need not have been, given the current restrictions staff were very considerate of my needs as well as Mum's.
Almost immediately they picked up on Mum's hearing issue and resolved it within 5 minutes of arrival!
The
staff are wonderful, thoughtful and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. The Manager is always buzzing around keeping her eye on things (so reassuring) as is her lovely deputy. So good to see care managers with a very hands-on and happy professional approach.

I visited last week to see my auntie who moved in recently. I have to say I was treated with absolute courtesy by the staff, they were so welcoming and polite. I was very impressed with the controlled environment and the easy access gloves, aprons and masks out the front and cleanliness. When I saw
my auntie I saw the difference in her and how she had improved. She told me she felt at home and the staff treated her with so much kindness compared to seeing her before in multiple wards environments. We also talked about the different activities that have been taking place but she loves that she is able to go out in the garden to fill up the bird feeders, I am just so grateful that someone does this with her as it is a massive area of her life which is a dream come true for her. A massive thank you to Linden House staff for taking the time and patience to learn my aunties ways as it has been a long journey for her, I am happy she is settled in a kind loving home!

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.179)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.179) out of 10 for Linden House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.898 for Linden House is calculated as follows: ( (53 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.898
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.281 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Linden House is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 registered maximum number of service users is 6.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 6.4 = 0.781
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
