As part of Dignity Action Day, to raise awareness of the importance of dignity within care, they made a Dignity Tree and badges at Meyer House Care Centre in Erith.
Residents, visiting relatives and staff were invited to add a leaf to the tree, describing what dignity meant to them. They had some great responses - including ‘knowing your self-worth’, ‘respect and self-esteem’ and ’treat everybody equal’.
This activity and their colourful tree display went down really well with all those involved. Even baby Archie joined in! Thanks to everyone who took part.
