Barking Hall Nursing Home, near Needham Market, Suffolk, is delighted to announce the appointment of Sue Oates as its new Home Manager.
With over thirty years’ experience in the healthcare industry Sue, a qualified nurse, has joined Barking Hall from a national care operator where she held the position of Relief Manager and covered the Essex region.
Over the years Sue has been contracted to various national care home providers to trouble shoot and turn around homes requiring improvement. More recently she worked for The Priory as a Relief Manager covering homes in the North of England for a year, prior to that she headed a home turn around project in Rochester, Kent for Four Seasons Healthcare.
When her children were young Sue managed a Group of Dental practices for five years before moving in to care home management and then Business Development with Care UK, where she was part of the new builds team for a number of years
Now based in Colchester, Sue Oates says: “I’m delighted to join Barking Hall as the new home manager. It’s a fantastic opportunity to not only shape the service, but to help expand the range of services offered. We’re currently reviewing the potential for offering dementia-focused services, alongside the high-quality nursing care already being delivered, and a recruitment programme is currently underway.
“I am also focusing on establishing closer links with the Needham Market community and getting more involved with local groups in and around the town. We really want to get more involved with local initiatives for the benefit of our residents.”
