The cleanliness & friendliest of staff I have ever met, the nurses are second to none. Every member of staff welcomed you with a smile & a friendly hello everytime. The food is good quality home cooked food, presented to the residents either in their room or a beautiful dining room. There are activities for the residence to enjoy everyday my mum has been treated with the itmost respect & dignity I could ever wish for. I can confidently recommend Barking Hall to anyone who needs their loved one, looking after & cared for. x
My father recently passed away at Barking and the staff have looked after him exceptionally well. He was very happy here even though he had been in the care system for nearly ten years. I and the rest of my family cannot thank Anna and all her wonderful staff enough for all they have done for my dad. I have honestly never seen such a well run nursing home. Barking Hall should be used as a benchmark for all care homes.
We are deeply sorry for your loss. Your dad was a truly great man, and he will be greatly missed by everyone at Barking Hall. It was an honour for us to have known and cared for him.

Nothing is ever to much trouble for any of the staff who go out of their way to ensure the health and happyness of all residents.
Thank you so much for a lovely review. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Hope to see you again!
The home itself would benefit from decorating and a porch at the entrance door for when it rains nut that aside it's the care we're intersted in and it is not far off brilliant! The manager is very approachable and goes the extra mile to keep everybody happy, the nurses are amazing, and the carers are the best! Christmas was all about the residents and families , well done Barking hall.
Your comments about the happiness of our staff are particularly appreciated. We firmly believe that a positive, supportive team environment directly...
My husband has been treated with every kindness and care in every way, they can't do enough for him.
Barking Hall is a lovely, homely, friendly care home that is very comfortable and very clean. The staff really make an effort to be helpdul and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and everything seems to get done with a smile. The care provided appears to be respectful and thoughtfully provided to allow residents to feel a sense of contentment and well being. The rooms are pleasant and not clinical, some are very spacious. The resident cat makes it feel even more like 'home' My friend is very well looked after and I can tell he is feeling content whenever I visit.
I would like to add the staff here are lovely, helpful and very caring.

Dad moved here the 3rd week of June after being in a home for the last 8 years. He is very happy that he moved here. The food, staff, room are so much better than he had at other home. He always looks lovely and clean and gets on well with all the staff. His room is also lovely and clean. We are very pleased that he has moved and how much happier he is.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. These are the stories that keep us so motivated to continue doing what we're doing, and we're so happy to hear that you and your dad had a great experience. Let us know if we can do anything else for you.

The staff are all so professional, kind patient and caring, not only towards the residents but the same warmth is shown to family members.Nothing is too much trouble for anyone, we are always offered a drink when the tea trolley comes round, and every member of staff throughout the whole home is wonderful.
It makes me feel at peace knowing that my Dad is so well looked after and is happy.
The staff all work so well together which is evident.
I thank everyone for their continuing first class care.
We're incredibly grateful for your continued support and for sharing your positive experience with us. Loyal relatives like you inspire us to strive for excellence. If there's anything else we can do for you, please let us know!
Considering the absence of a manager (up until recently) the care and administration has been adequate. We are hoping the new manager can implement changes as discussed to improve the areas which are currently satisfactory to good/excellent. Individual carers and nurses, particularly the activity coordinators, are fantastic. Areas of concern which are in the process of being addressed by the new manager include:- Not changing resident's hearing aid batteries, placing food out of resident's reach, not waking resident up for lunch and discouraging movements out of bed.
Thank you for taking the time to reach to us. Your feedback helps us improve, and we take your comments seriously. We are currently working on care standard making sure hearing aid batteries, placing food in resident's reach, waking resident up for lunch and encourage movements out of bed is our priority and to ensure this doesn't happen again. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
My father has 5 grandchildren who visited him quite a few times in the 10 months he was a resident whilst my sister and I both visited at least 3 times per week. We all found the staff very helpful and caring. I often said to my father 'are they looking after you?' and he always said that they were. At all times we were treated with respect and we all felt that dad was treated with respect all the time.
Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with us. We're so pleased to hear that you found the staff very helpful and caring. Your dad satisfaction is our top priority, and your review reaffirms the hard work we put in every day. Looking forward to seeing you again!
Always very welcoming and personable staff and joy to come and visit our friend.

I have found on each visit the staff are very friendly helpful and entertaining. I can leave knowing my friend is happy and well cared for.

Mum has settled into Barking hall extremely well. The nursing staff, especially, are proactive and all of her medical and personal needs are fully met. When there has been cause to raise concern, this has been addressed promptly and pragmatically. Thank you.

My mother's passing was painless and stress-free because of where she was and who she was with.
During the proceeding months, she had been at ease with herself and her surroundings.
There was a friendship with the staff she had grown close to.
Thank you.
Great location and wonderful, caring staff. Lovely room with a country view and settled in quickly, following previous month in hospital following a fall. One month on much stronger. Lovely meals, helping with weight gain and stamina. Perfect respite and keen to stay on. Also regular activities for all.
Thank you for taking time to review our lovely home ,and the staff. I will share your feedback to our staff team.
Everyone tries very hard to make my visit as normal as possible and make special dates possible such as having a meal together. There are individuals that work well with my husband and reassures him.

I am passionate about supporting both residents and colleagues to create a warm, caring, and welcoming environment where everyone can thrive. I believe in building positive relationships, understanding individual needs, and maintaining an open-door approach for residents, families, and team members. My focus is on delivering high-quality care, promoting dignity and independence, and ensuring the home remains a safe and happy place for all who live and work there.

I enjoy working alongside a hardworking and caring team that values teamwork and compassion. With many years of nursing experience across a range of clinical settings, I am passionate about providing person-centred care, creating a warm and welcoming environment, and supporting residents to feel safe, valued, and heard. My clinical and leadership experience allows me to support both residents and staff while maintaining high standards of care.

I love being part of an amazing team at Barking Hall, building strong connections across all departments. I enjoy interacting daily with residents and their families. My experience managing my own hair salon, combined with Health & Safety training, gives me a solid foundation for my role.

I enjoy working with the people here and the freedom I have in the kitchen. I prioritise residents' needs, considering their likes and dislikes. I've completed an NVQ in Food, Hygiene, and Catering, Nutritional Therapy, and Level 2 in Food Hygiene.

I enjoy working with a great team at Barking Hall across all areas, not just housekeeping. I build strong relationships with residents through daily conversations and helping with simple requests. With over 10 years of cleaning experience, including running my own business, I have the necessary qualifications.

As Activities Coordinator, I love being part of the wonderful community within our home. The residents and staff make it a warm and welcoming place to work every day.
I enjoy spending time getting to know each resident, learning about their interests, and finding ways to help them stay engaged and happy. Seeing residents smile and enjoy themselves is the most rewarding part of my role.

I work as the Administrator within a supportive care home team, where I contribute to the smooth running of daily operations and help maintain a positive and welcoming environment. I enjoy being part of a team that values compassion and teamwork, where laughter and good relationships are part of everyday life. Although my role is administrative, I take an interest in getting to know residents and their life histories, which helps me appreciate the person-centred values at the heart of our service.

With over five years' experience in care home maintenance, including supporting homes across the East of England, I'm passionate about keeping Barking Hall safe, compliant, and welcoming for everyone. I also enjoy spending time chatting with residents, especially fellow ex-military veterans, as we share a special connection through our conversations.
