  • Care Homes Owned by Healthcare Homes Group Ltd
At Healthcare Homes staff are compassionate, committed and caring. They are selected for these values and the management team do everything they can to support staff to help them to fulfil their promises to you.

The team treat everyone they care for just as they would a member of their own family; every member of staff is treated as a family member too.

The homes are warm, friendly places. They range from rural Vicarages and Manor Houses to urban modern builds. Healthcare Homes doesn't do cookie cutter!

Once you have decided that a move into one of their care homes is the right decision for you, they do everything they can to get to know you well so that they can design a care plan that is completely bespoke and unique.

They take the time to find out about your care needs and preferences: the types of hobbies and activities you would enjoy; what you have done in your lifetime and what routines you are used to; what you do and don’t like to eat; and much more. They then design and document a care plan so that everybody involved in your care knows exactly how you would like to be cared for.

And they provide much more than care homes. They also offer wrap-around 24-hour live-in care; homecare packages that adapt to your needs; and specialist care for people with more complex needs. And when your needs change, their care can change to meet your needs.

Review of

Avon Lodge Care Centre

from M H (Husband of Resident) published on 12 September 2025
Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Avon Lodge was recommended. Our experience has lived up to and often surpassed your CQC inspection rating. The care and support offered to my wife has been very good, the care staff have been excellent, and the kindness and support to me from the manager and staff has been more than I expected. My wife
has been treated with dignity and her wishes respected. She has been encouraged to involve in activities. All positive, the whole experience has been better than I anticipated, maintaining high standards and seeking opportunities for improvement is always challenging, but essential when caring for vulnerable people. I am grateful to everyone at Avon Lodge for helping us cope with a huge change in our lives.
Reply from Joby James, Home Manager at Avon Lodge Care Centre

I have been staying at Fornham House since May 2025. I desperately needed help and support after losing my husband. When no where else would take me in, Fornham House did. They have supported and taken care of me. They have literally saved my life. They are caring and make you feel like you matter.
They always put the needs of the residents first. I will be forever grateful for the love and support from Fornham House when I needed it most.

Cedar Court Care Home

from C M (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 September 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum recently passed away at Cedar Court, having spent the last 2.5 years under their care with her family's full involvement.
During this time, we developed good relationships with care home staff - it wasn't always easy with many emotions driving mum's constantly changing care needs; sometimes
challenging conversations, however, it was always with patience and respect, kindness and willingness to help and understand, that we had such a successful collaborative relationship with the team. I will not only miss my mum, but all of the Home team.
There isn't enough space here to go into detail, but every part of the team helped mum; from laundry, chefs, activities, care and hygiene, nurse practitioners, management, the handyman - they were great!
When mum's life neared the end, they gave us space 24/7 to be with her - provided privacy and food & drink. I will never forget the kindness and compassion of the entire team the day mum died and thank them all for taking care of all of us.
Reply from Nicoleta Ungureanu, Home Manager at Cedar Court Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind words about our care home. We are deeply saddened by the loss of your mum and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback during such a difficult time. Please know that we are here to support always .

My brother was admitted to Cedar Court after a short time spent in hospital. During the short time he has been here I have found all the staff to be friendly, cheerful, helpful and extremely efficient in their approach to both my brother and myself. They are encouraging him to do as much for himself
as possible and are caring for both his mental well-being as well as his physical health. To date I can only praise them for everything that they have done and consider myself to be so fortunate to have found such an excellent home. I look forward to being associated with them for as long as is required.

Such an incredibly caring and professional team of staff at The Malthouse. Outstanding facilities and catering. The care my father received was second to none. A very homely atmosphere and such attentive carers and management. We could not have coped without their help and are so grateful. I would only
use them again.

My mum has now been a resident at Uvedale Hall for about 3 years now. The manager who is there now and was also there at the beginning of Mum's stay is fantastic. She has been great with mum and equally good with us as relatives. Her staff are always helpful, polite, and best of all, very, very patient!
Couldn't fault my mum's care at all. The home has a lovely atmosphere, warm and friendly.

Claremont Nursing Home

My Mum became a resident in February 2025. She has dementia and can't walk so need extra special care. All the staff have been amazing including the Care team, Management, the kitchen and laundry. I visit regularly so I see the real home and the love and care shown. The activities co-ordinator keeps
the residents entertained by organising things such as pat dogs, chair exercises, bingo, singers, board games and even paints nails. The Management team work hard and are making improvements to the home. I looked at many care homes along the way and as soon as I stepped into Claremont Lodge I had no doubt it was the right place for Mum and I haven't been disappointed. The Chef and her team are amazing with a choice of 2 hot meals all freshly cooked and served with a smile. Me. All family are made to feel welcome and can join their loved one any time for a meal, coffee or cake or entertainment. Praise where praise is due, and they certainly deserve it.
Reply from Ian Gooch, Home Manager at Claremont Nursing Home

Dad has been a resident at Uvedale Hall for nearly a year now and we could not wish for better care. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff and there is a lovely family atmosphere. Dad has settled in well and is very happy there. The manager and her team have achieved a real home from home,
caring and cheerful care home. We could not have chosen better, thank you.

Tenchley Manor

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I found the team at Tenchley brilliant. Everyone is not only highly professional but genuinely cares about the wellbeing and comfort of every resident. Although my mum was only at the home for 2 weeks, the team all got to know her personally and were keen to tailor support to meet her needs and preferences.
Tenchley provided a happy family type environment where mum felt loved and cared for. She was treated with true kindness, dignity and respect. The carers were patient and compassionate, ensuring mum was comfortable and at ease, and the nurses outstanding. As visitors we were also looked after - made to feel comfortable and welcome, and given exceptional support as she sadly declined. The entire Tenchley team played their part - in every interaction their dedication and empathy was clearly evident. Thank you to everyone.

I have always found the staff at Hillcroft, to be very kind, caring and considerate when visiting my relatives. They are always keen to address any issues which might arise, concerning the residents in their care.
It might be good to be able to have a cup of tea with relatives when visiting, but I
am not aware of this provision.
