My mum recently passed away at Cedar Court, having spent the last 2.5 years under their care with her family's full involvement.
During this time, we developed good relationships with care home staff - it wasn't always easy with many emotions driving mum's constantly changing care needs; sometimes
challenging conversations, however, it was always with patience and respect, kindness and willingness to help and understand, that we had such a successful collaborative relationship with the team. I will not only miss my mum, but all of the Home team.
There isn't enough space here to go into detail, but every part of the team helped mum; from laundry, chefs, activities, care and hygiene, nurse practitioners, management, the handyman - they were great!
When mum's life neared the end, they gave us space 24/7 to be with her - provided privacy and food & drink. I will never forget the kindness and compassion of the entire team the day mum died and thank them all for taking care of all of us.

My brother was admitted to Cedar Court after a short time spent in hospital. During the short time he has been here I have found all the staff to be friendly, cheerful, helpful and extremely efficient in their approach to both my brother and myself. They are encouraging him to do as much for himself
as possible and are caring for both his mental well-being as well as his physical health. To date I can only praise them for everything that they have done and consider myself to be so fortunate to have found such an excellent home. I look forward to being associated with them for as long as is required.

Overall happy with the care given to mum, and the daily activities are very good. The staff are friendly. Mum's room does need refurbishing at the earliest opportunity.

I've visited my friend in the Albany twice since she moved in on Tuesday 27th May. Her room is large and light with a lovely view. Her room is large and light with a lovely view. It is well equipped with modern furniture. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The first visit was in the morning
and we were both offered coffee. Yesterday afternoon we were both offered a cup of tea and a lovely piece of cake. My friend is adapting well to her new surroundings and speaks well of the care she is receiving.

My first visit to this lovely home. I was very impressed. We went for a relatives meeting and sat in the dining room. The other relatives we met all helped at the home, one way or another. The tables were laid like an expensive restaurant. The home is being decorated and is light and bright.. The
staff are warm, friendly and caring, even to visitors, and striving to be better. Some residents were watching the tv in the lounge. My sister-in-law was comfortable in her room.

My mother has been at Albany for just over a year. Initially she was very unsettled but thanks to the diligence and patience of the wonderful staff, she is now relaxed and very happy. Always helpful both the administration staff, carers, and nursing staff. Always respectful and polite, listening and responding in a caring way. All staff make mum feel welcome and at home assessing 'her' particular needs so patient/client centred. Mum had an emergancy during her stay and it was treated

My uncle has a big room.since he moved to the carehome, he has become more happier. He is talking more and coming down to the main lounge. Joining in the activities with other residents. My mother has been a resident at the Albany for over 3 years now and the care she has received since she has been there has always been excellent. The care staff are all brilliant with the residents and I feel they all do a fantastic job there. All the staff there are very friendly and welcoming and
I think a sign of how good the care home is, is the fact that the majority of the staff are the same as when my mum first went in there. The activities at the care home are always very good and I have taken part in quite a few things there with my mum. The activities organisers are both very bubbly and do a great job there, organising some great things for the residents.
The food at the care home is always very good and prepared by an excellent and friendly chef and his team.

All of the staff were incredibly kind and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble and Mum enjoyed the activities and fireworks on New Year's Eve. As a family, knowing that she was safe and happy meant we could finally relax. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Albany Care Home. In comparison to others
