Care Homes Owned by Healthcare Homes Group Ltd in Oxfordshire

Recently visited both of my parents from overseas. They have been in the Albany care home for 15 months. Found them both being extremely well cared for. My Dad was very underweight on admission and has gained at least 12kg (which he needed to). Mum has severe Alzheimer's and her care is kind and compassionate. They get her out of her room as often as possible.

Thank you to all the staff whatever you role. You are a great team.

My stepmother is happy and well cared for at the Albany. All her needs are taken care of and her health is reviewed regularly. Not enough information was given to us about the facilities and building when she moved in as a permanent resident. This could be improved. When she moved in the matron said she would be allowed alcohol in her room but it was taken away. She could have alcohol in her room so she knows it's available and then the staff could then let her have it. Lots of varied activities are available but can be difficult for new residents to mix. More encouragement should be given.

A massive thank you to all the staff at the Albany. Huge thanks must go to the activities co-ordinator, for the amazing skills and games played. These exercises are so very important for all the residents the garden and the new garden furniture is looking splendid - money very well spent. The kitchen team are super. Everyone is treated so well i thoroughly enjoyed being part of days out, summer garden party and bbq day. All staff are highly thought off.

My Aunt is very well looked after and has many social opportunities to attend and be part of. Well done to everyone!

My wife was transferred from another unrelated care home just 5 days ago. To compare them is like 'comparing chalk to cheese. Cedar Court staff are caring an personable. My wife's room is large., warm and inviting. My wife has already started to settle in and I and my family are confident that the move will prove to be so beneficial for her.

I visited Cedar Court over the time of approximately 1 year. During that time I found the staff friendly and helpful, always clean and tidy. Always able to report on the health and well being on my friend at 96 years. He was clean and well dressed, lacked a shave once or twice, but I except this as they may be very busy or he did not want one. I hope I have need to visit someone at C.C. again.

Have visited a friend many times and always found visiting the Albany a very pleasant + happy experience.

I came to visit a dear friend of mine and I was very impressed with how friendly all the staff was and caring nothing seemed to much for them.the manager was also a pleasure to meet.my friend seemed very happy and said that everyone is great there.she was served her lunch while I was there it looked very appetising, she was also telling me that they have bingo once aweek and she loves it as we used to always play bingo

My mum arrived at Cedar Cout just before Xmas on palliative care. Since then she has had no water infection, always looks nice and clean. She is very happy & enjoying life again. From eating nothing to having a healthy appetite and joining in with all the activities that are on offer, had regular meetings which have answered all queries that have arisen.

Albany Care Home did a great job of looking after my father after a sudden loss of mobility in the context of dementia and confusion. It is a warm community of caring people, where residents are treated with care, compassion and kindness. I would recommend you check our Albany if you are looking for the right place for a loved one. Everywhere is clean, light, smells fresh, and the food is excellent.

I'm so pleased that Dad is at Cedar Court! He suffers from Dementia. Everything about Cedar Court is thoughtfully planned out around the residents' needs. Dad loves to wander, so with the building being in a square, he can wander about without feeling like he is running into lots of closed doors, and becoming confused. There are several, well-decorated and maintained rooms to sit, eat and to do activities in, which is a lovely variety. It's spotlessly clean. I found the care staff and managers to be extremely knowledgeable about Dementia, and I have learned so much that I didn't know, which has helped me to understand Dad so much more. They managed his move in so sensitively. One member of staff sat with him quietly, so he could get his bearings, and stuck with him, so he could learn a familiar face. They speak to Dad in a lovely way that he can understand to reduce his anxiety. I'm 100% happy and confident that Dad is getting the best care, thank you so much!

She can be difficult to deal with at times, so thank you for the patience of all your staff. We as a family greatly appreciate the care she is receiving. We all live a long distance away, so visiting is limited to weekends for us and we take in turns. But we know she is well looked after and that we will be contacted immediately if there any any issues. Thank you.

It is a real pleasure to visit my Mum with the friendly staff and manager always happy to keep up to date with any information and activities. I found it hard to accept when my Mum first went to Cedar Court but the staff were very understanding and now two years on it's like an extended family. A huge thank you to all.

Cedar Court is a lovely, welcoming home. The rooms are kept very clean and comfortable and the food is good. The care that my mother received over the last three years has been excellent. The staff are very caring and friendly and my mother was very well looked after. Thank you for everything.

One of the most impressive aspects of Cedar Court is the attentiveness and responsiveness of the team. Management and care staff act quickly, often within minutes, if there are any medical concerns. Their proactive approach provides enormous reassurance to families, knowing that health issues are addressed promptly and professionally. Equally important is their dedication to mental health and wellbeing. The staff always helpful & smiling and always happy to help. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble.

2 weeks of respite care after 3 weeks of hospitalisation with pneumonia. Visited every day and Ian had no complaints.

I can't praise The Albany enough and the kindness. For the month of January. There are many memorable scenes that I have witnessed. Saturday cinema with the lights dimmed is an incredible treat and a joy to be part of. Then I witnessed a scene whereby the chef and care staff were playing monopoly with the residents, this is about The Albany being a real home. My mother started pointing and counting and people just join in dementia is enveloped treated with respect and my mother is finally settling in. Our fractured family is mending again. The Albany supports the whole family.
