I cannot fault Ashley Gardens at all all of the staff are friendly and they look after my mother with great dignity and care, she has checked on on a regular basis .she is given her food at the same time every day and the staffing ensure that she takes her medication. They're also very friendly to other family members and make us feel welcome at all times. They also listen to any questions you may have and answer them as best as they can. The manager is also somebody that you can put your trust in and will take time to talk honestly with you. Rooms are spacious and Mum has a lovely window of which she could look out onto trees. They have daily activities my mum enjoyed the singalongs in the garden . She's also had a manicure as she's always had beautiful nails. Clean and tidy and a lovely place for any family member, I want to personally thank all of the staff for looking after our mum.

All the staff on this floor and elsewhere in the home are so caring.

My father has been a resident of Ashley Gardens for almost a year and is very content there. It would be wrong to say that the team get everything right all of the time, but it's certainly not for the lack of trying - they are humans after all, doing a particularly difficult job! The most important thing (as far as I'm concerned) is that the staff are always extremely kind to my father and treat him with dignity. Communication with the management team is excellent; they are always available to discuss any concerns and always respond quickly. Thank you to all of the AG team - keep up the good work, you are appreciated!

My wife has been staying at Ashley Gardens for the last 3 months and is very happy there. The nursing care is extremely good, nothing is too much trouble for when she needs help etc. All the carers and staff are so kind and will go the extra mile to look after her. I can't thank the care team enough for the service they provide to keep her safe.

I have found the staff here extremely caring and attentive when speaking and helping both myself and by bedbound husband, who is not always as polite as he could be. The food is very varied and the care assistances are prompt and courteous when my husband rings for assistance. The staff are hard working and enthusiastic, and I feel that this good value for money. Excellent all round.

I am a resident here and cannot fault the care and assistance I have received from a very professional team of care staff. It seems that nothing is too much trouble, and I never think twice to ask for help if I need it. I am happy and content. Thanks very much.

The enrichment activities are varied and are clearly enjoyed by the residents as can be seen via the social media platform. Our son and daughter in law visited over Christmas and commented on how welcoming and friendly everyone was.

I visit regularly and all staff is very supportive. Manager went above and beyond to help.

Mum was very happy and settled at Ashley Gardens and it felt like she really lived a life here following a couple of years of illness and the onset of dementia.

The staff here are wonderful and the activities provided are varied and excellent. I especially loved seeing the wonderful photos taken of Mum taking part in these activities on the home's private social media group. The healthcare provided is second to none with regular involvement and input from the family. Mum was always treated with respect and dignity but the staff always seemed to make things fun and easy.

Towards the end of Mum's life the staff did all they could to take care of her and make her comfortable. The family were also very well supported throughout.

I would like to thank everyone at Ashley Gardens sincerely, for making Mum and the family feel at home and for enabling Mum to live a joyful and fulfilling life, to the end.

Somehow, the staff enabled my mother to get back onto her feet and got her eating and drinking again. She returned, with their help, to more like her old self and by putting a bookcase in her room, encouraged her to read again. She was looked after with great care and compassion for her end of life care. They were brilliant, doing all they could to keep her comfortable and supported me through it. Thank you.

My mum, has been a resident at Ashley Gardens Care Home for a year now, the staff are lovely and always asking if my mum needs anything. The ladies that arrange the entertainment for the residents are amazing. They have singers which my mum loves to sing a long and dance too. They have animals come in so they can hold or stroke them. They have cupcake making and Bingo and painting and flower arranging. My mum likes this especially, as she has always enjoyed being amongst friends and going and doing things. So they'res a massive thank you to them for everything that they do. My mum's room is always clean and tidy. And her clothes washed and back in her wardrobe. At one time my dad was at Ashley Gardens Care Home with my mum as a resident. My sister and I looked at different care homes, but Ashley Gardens Care Home came 1st all of the time. I hope that this review might help a family who's family member is coming to a residential care home and would like to hear about it.

Well done everyone

My mother has advanced Alzheimer's and was in need of a safe and welcoming place to call home. I feel we have been blessed. Mum moved in mid June, 2025 to a warm reception. The staff knew her name on arrival and were full of enthusiasm and encouragement. It was a difficult decision but the best decision for mum. During the week there are activities and events, food looks delicious, with lots of treats and snacks. Mum is gaining back some much needed weight. The staff are reassuring with all of us as mum is adjusting to her new home. I feel confident it's been the best decision for mum, she's safe, clean, cared for, experiencing new things which brighten her days. I live overseas so enjoy the social media posts and the daily updates.

The team clearly, really care about the residents and their welfare. Thank you to you all.

I would like to thank all the staff who look after her they work very hard to keep everyday happy for her the entertainment is first class something going on most days and enjoy seeing her on social media pages, would definitely recommend.

My nan is currently in this care home and am very happy with the care she gets they seem to go out of there way to have plenty of entertainment and make you feel very welcome when visiting staff always seem to be happy and are friendly would recommend

When we visited my wife the staff were very friendly with us and she looked very happy. She eats all of her food which is very good because in the other home she would not eat so I know she is happy. I live in London so I can not go and see her as much as I would like but I know she is being looked after very well, so thank you very much for that and a Happy New Year to you all from all the family.

My sister who is end-of-life is very well looked after. Bathed every day and has cream put all over her body. She is moved in the bed regularly so as to avoid bed sores. Communication between staff is excellent. Cleaning in the room is of a high standard.
