My husband was admitted to Mill Lane Nursing Home on 2/1/26 directly from a two-week stay in the hospital. From day one, I have been impressed by the kindness and professionalism from all the staff, from the manager down. They are really good with my husband and have always made me and my family welcome,
as well as responding positively to any concerns. Excellent home.

Before my mother came to the White House, she had breathing problem because of the mold in her old house and she couldn't look after herself. Ever since she moved into The White house a year ago, her breathing got better and she became much happier. She would call me every week to talk about how friendly
the staffs are, how she has many nice friends and enjoys watching Elvis karaoke. I couldn't be happier that she became a positive person. I'm very grateful to the staffs looking after her.

Barking Hall Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum has been resident at barking hall since August 25 following a fall at home where lived alone and totally independent. She is 88 and has a couple of health issues.we looked at 8 care homes prior to barking and for various reasons they were unsuitable, too blingy, too expensive, too shabby, unhappy
looking staff, unhappy residents!but when we walked into Barking hall the first thing that struck us was the happiness of the staff! If the staff are happy this rubs off on the residents. My mum is very happy at Barking hall.
The home itself would benefit from decorating and a porch at the entrance door for when it rains nut that aside it's the care we're intersted in and it is not far off brilliant! The manager is very approachable and goes the extra mile to keep everybody happy, the nurses are amazing, and the carers are the best! Christmas was all about the residents and families , well done Barking hall.
Reply from Anna, Home manager at Barking Hall Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. It truly means a great deal to all of us at Barking Hall.
Your comments about the happiness of our staff are particularly appreciated. We firmly believe that a positive, supportive team environment directly impacts the wellbeing of our residents, so it's wonderful to hear that this stood out to you from your very first visit. I will be sure to share your kind words with the manager, nurses, and carers - they will be delighted to know their hard work and dedication have been recognised.
Thank you also for your honest feedback regarding the decor and the entrance area. We value constructive suggestions and will certainly take your comments into consideration as we continue to improve the home environment.
Thank you again for your trust and support. It is a privilege to care for your mum.

I have found all the staff to be informative and friendly.
The office
staff and manager are always readily available for a chat.

I have just returned home from visiting my dad and attending a birthday party for 3 other residents. What can I say, simply fantastic!! They had an Elvis tribute and he was amazing. He interacted with all the residents, and everyone had an amazing time. The staff and management are absolutely incredible
not only at getting everyone involved today, but in all of their support of everyone day to day. My dad has been at Uvedale hall for 6 months and he really is getting first class care in what I can only express as a real family feel home. Thank you all for everything you do.

Staff are excellent, friendly and very obliging, nothing is too much trouble for the residents or visitors.
The home is very welcoming, a coffee machine for all to use as you enter the building and often freshly baked cakes also.
There is always something going on for the residents to partake in,
everything from bingo to coffee and cake mornings, everyone being included. They also organise day trips out for the residents.

My father moved into Oaklands after having a few falls at home. He started with a couple of weeks respite care after time in hospital, and decided he would feel safer as a resident.
The staff have all made him welcome too. He is quite happy with his own company but enjoys family visits and the team
of nurses that come in to dress his legs. He hasn't taken part in any of the activities but we've heard they have a good calendar of events.
We attend the resident relative meetings where anything can be discussed. We feel Kelly is exactly the person Oaklands needs at the helm. What few issues my father has had in the past, we are confident that these have been addressed.

Since my mum moved in in November 24, I have nothing but praise for the staff and the care they have offered her.
They have understood her needs really well and accommodated them in a very understanding yet professional manner.

I always worried about Mum being in a home and how she would be looked

after.
Oaklands staff are amazing .
They are kind, knowledgeable, humorous and exceptionally caring.
They have welcomed us as her family. We are always welcomed when we come to eat with Mum. This includes over Christmas and at various events.
They've dealt well with mum's questions, her ups and downs, including her frequent tears about the dog she lost. They handled that in a very sensitive manner.
Thank you so much for your continued care. It means a lot.

This 14-day stay was unexpected, so I was a bit apprehensive about going. There was no need to have worried. The welcome was genuine, and all the staff were friendly. My bedroom was warm and comfortable with an ensuite. Towels and flannels are changed daily. I could not fault my stay there, and if necessary,
I would stay again with no worries.
