I cannot fault Meadow House one bit. It is a first-class care home. Since my daughter moved here in Jan 2025 she has improved dramatically. All the staff at Meadow House are brilliant and very caring. My daughter loves it at Meadow House. She is so much happier, it's lovely to see.

Harold was asked to leave his previous home because of his challenging behaviour, and I was getting worried, thinking no other home would accommodate him. However, Overbury House accepted and made adjustments to manage his nighttime wanderings. Overbury puts the needs of the residents first and gives
them time to adjust. My husband is settling in, and I have some peace of mind for the first time in five months.

My mother has been a resident of the Manor House since December 2023
The staff are all so kind and caring, looking after her needs and her total wellbeing.
I admire everybody involved in the smooth running of the home, I think this is a very hard task with so many residents having different complex
needs.
I have always found the staff very friendly, considerate and taking pride in their work and making visitors feel very welcome.
On Sunday Mum celebrated her 100th Birthday, words cannot express our families appreciation of how nicely the staff prepared the Lounge and provided a lovely "Afternoon Tea" for our small celebration, also repeatedly checking everything was ok for us.
This preparation was delivered over and above the staff still having to care for all the other residents with not a hint of it being additional work for them.
My praise goes to all the staff that deliver the care needed to keep the residents comfortable and safe. Thank you.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent home made food with plenty of choice, a good assortment of dishes. I know the need for waterproof mattresses, but waterproof pillows were very hot. Had to wait at busy times for the buzzer to be answered. Following an accident I had a pleasant three weeks

My Mother has been a resident at Bilney Hall for a year this month, and my brothers and I are so happy with Bilney. Our Mother is cared for beautifully by the lovely staff, who really are person-centred in their approach. They are a caring and fun team, and are always on hand to answer any questions
and offer support. Mum has built a great bond with many of them and really enjoys their company and their kindness. The home itself is well maintained, Mum has a beautiful room which is always immaculate. As are her clothes and the environment in general. It feels fresh and clean throughout and it is lively, especially now that some new residents have joined the old hall. Nikki the manager is fantastic! She is totally hands on with the residents, always up to date on how they are, and what is happening for them by the day. She always makes herself available for catch ups and goes above and beyond for the residents. Cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you Bilney for peace of mind xx

My Mum became a resident in February 2025. She has dementia and can't walk so need extra special care. All the staff have been amazing including the Care team, Management, the kitchen and laundry. I visit regularly so I see the real home and the love and care shown. The activities co-ordinator keeps
the residents entertained by organising things such as pat dogs, chair exercises, bingo, singers, board games and even paints nails. The Management team work hard and are making improvements to the home. I looked at many care homes along the way and as soon as I stepped into Claremont Lodge I had no doubt it was the right place for Mum and I haven't been disappointed. The Chef and her team are amazing with a choice of 2 hot meals all freshly cooked and served with a smile. Me. All family are made to feel welcome and can join their loved one any time for a meal, coffee or cake or entertainment. Praise where praise is due, and they certainly deserve it.

Our family are deeply grateful for the care and compassion shown to Dad by the entire team at Walcot Hall Nursing Home.
A special thank you goes to the manager, whose dedication and empathy carried us through a family crisis. When official channels failed to provide the help we needed, she stepped
in with guidance, warmth and support. Her advice and kindness meant a great deal when we felt lost and let down by the system and didn't know where else to turn. Thank you.

Overbury House

from Andy B (Respite Resident) published on 18 August 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
What a lovely place - having been let down at the last minute regarding respite care for my father the staff at Overbury House stepped up and took Dad at very short notice.
We were greeted by the staff on arrival who went out of their way to make Dad feel welcome - as usual I was juggling an awful
lot of things on the day and their "nothings too much trouble" attitude really helped.
Dad, myself and my black Labrador Honey were given a tour of the facilities before I handed Dad over to their care.
On my return a week later Dad was having so much fun he refused to come home with me and demanded an extra night which he duly had.
I returned the following day and was met by the activities and wellbeing coordinator. What can I say, she is clearly a force of nature and fully invested in her role and proceeded to show me photo after photo of Dads activities in my absence- to be honest I will struggle to compete now he is home but I feel it will not be long before Dad will be back.

I feel that I could run out of superlatives when it comes to describing Meadow House and all the staff there.
My sister has been a resident now for just over 16 years - the last couple of years have presented her, the staff and us a family new challenges - but what is ever more clear through out these
difficult times is that we all work so very hard together to achieve the very best care outcomes for her.
My sister is advocated for as if she were one of their own and this is so helpful to us as a family - together we have been able to access a complex management review and we are finally getting there with some potential answers that will be beneficial to all involved in her care - especially her.
I feel that this is the sort of thing i would have wanted to read in a review when we were making our life changing decision to accept care all those years ago. We cannot fault any aspect of this wonderful place.

I am grateful that there was a place for my mother at Manor House. I had visited other homes + knew they did not have the management + atmosphere that would make mum comfortable. Unlike the other homes, I was greeted by the manager, shown a lovely room + introduced to staff who seemed cheerful + motivated.
Mum lived there for 2 years and had compassionate care, activities + good food. I was worried that she might not settle, but on the second day she was enjoying having an Elvis impersonator singing to her. Her end of life was peaceful + comfortable + we will be having tea at the home after the service.

I have come to realise just what a truly amazing job Bilney Hall do for the vulnerable people they look after. My mother moved to Bilney in April when she needed a lot more personal care.
We visit Mum mid morning or mid afternoon and find her seated in a comfortable chair, in a bright, spacious lounge
with beautiful country views. The staff are attentive and make sure she has a choice of drinks. Her room is clean and well organised.
In general, the staff are welcoming, polite and friendly and will always communicate any issues to us. The management is professional, experienced and supportive. I am very grateful that my mother is at Bilney Hall and appreciate all the staff's hard work and care.

The manor has some excellent caring staff, from the excellent cheerful members, and the very quiet gentleman who is a gem, kind, always has a smile, and a kind word for dad. Dad is very appreciative of this. The management listens and acts when we have concerns. Our main worry is the agency night staff
who, Dad says, handle him roughly and do not show respect like they should. The outside of the manor is in dire need of repair and maintenance.

Olive House is an outstanding care home, offering fantastic care for all residents. My mum has been a resident here for 4 years and has been cared for by dedicated and experienced staff. The staff (especially two specific members of staff) have been so supportive to both my mum and myself, always offering
friendly chat but most of all ensuring that I know my mum is being cared for, especially when I am unable to get there. They really are both fantastic members of the team who I look forward to seeing when I come in.
