I cannot emphasise enough my thanks and gratitude to all the staff at The Gables for the love and care they gave to my wife which was such contrast to the treatment we got from social services! The staff at The Gables work so hard to care for their residents, coping also with the constraints of the building. They will always have my gratitude.

For the short time my mother was at Claremont House, she received the best possible care. All the staff went above and beyond to make Mums last week comfortable and treated her with dignity. We are so pleased she spent her last days at Claremont House. We couldn't have wished for better.

I cannot fault the care my friend was given whilst in this care home. He was spotless clean and looked after by lovely staff .The staff were always on hand and if he rang his bell he always had someone come to him. Very impressed with the service he had.

The staff have shown so much care and patience with my aunt from when she went to live there early 2020 until she dies 27/08/2026. They always treated her respect and looked after her health. The spoke to her using her name even though she was unable to respond due to her medical condition. Everyone was professional and practiced in their jobs. I was always kept informed as I was POA and NOK. I can't fault the staff they are hard working, kind, considerate and treated my aunt like she was family.

Our experience of Claremont nursing home from the initial phone call right through to end of life has been excellent. The staff were always happy and nothing has been too much trouble . My mum had a room overlooking the courtyard which we found included mum in the outside activities even on days she didn't manage to get up. The activity staff always has something going on with music and singers most weeks. The nursing staff always kept us up to date with medical decisions. I would recommend Claremont as a nursing home to anyone considering it for a family member .

We feel very fortunate to have found Olive House for Mum's ongoing care.

My mum fell down the stairs from top to bottom in The Gables on Monday 3rd of August. This is her 6th fall since December 2025, this one being the worst. She was taken to hospital where I was informed by the hospital that The Gables have refused to have her back. They didn't even have the decency to inform the family, I emailed the home on Friday 7th, still not had a response from them. Shame they didn't wait as she is on end of life care now (absolutely disgusted)

My mum, Brenda was on palliative care at Claremont house. The care given was friendly , caring and genuine. The staff were fantastic and they cared for mum until the end. Would recommend Claremont house to anyone needing help. Thank you to all the staff who came to love mum, my brother and I appreciate all your kindness.

On occasions when we have visited and there has been entertainment, Mum always seems bright and enjoys the music.

Mother is well looked after. Great team, especially the activity lady does a tremendous job. Food is good, excellent. Mother enjoys it. A lovely home that feel comfort and love to all.

Residents are always well cared for. The staff are always friendly and chatty, not only to those they care for but also to the residents and relations. A variety of activities are arranged for the residents, which they thoroughly enjoy.

My mother has settled in well since moving in as a resident. The care and attention she has received has been excellent. She has had a number of illnesses since arriving not at all related to the care home but they have been treated quickly and she seems to be happier in the home and enjoys the social activities that the care team provide.

I'm always kept updated with anything I need to be made aware of in regards to my mother.

The home is very warm and friendly, clean and tidy, the carers are all happy and friendly, all the team look after the residents extremely well, management is always available if needed, and are present in the home and it's lovely to see residents happy
