Providing well-regarded care to the local residents of Caister-on-sea, Norfolk, Claremont House is a purpose-built building that offers spacious rooms, engaging activities and high-quality care, located close to village shops and the Norfolk coast.

Claremont House provides specialist nursing and elderly care for the local residents of Caister-on-sea, Norfolk. Run by a warm, welcoming and enthusiastic team, Claremont House offers high quality care that maintains an excellent reputation within the local community.

In addition, it incorporates a welcoming reception area, dining room, two lounges, one of which has an early 1950s feel, a themed hairdressing salon and an attractive sensory garden, on the patio, all of which residents and their guests can enjoy. Although rooms are fully furnished, they encourage residents to bring with them items of furniture and personal effects to complement those already provided so that their room can become an individual retreat.

Claremont Lodge, like Claremont House, is situated on the High Street of Caister-on-Sea conveniently near to a range of shops and amenities. To ensure, where possible, that residents have an active social life, regular trips takes are organised to the local shops, theatre, etc., allowing everyone to benefit from the fresh sea air of the nearby coastline. If you simply wish for peace and tranquillity, well maintained gardens and courtyards surround the home, allowing you to enjoy a haven from the bustle of the town.

All the ladies are really lovely and helpful. Mum is now settled. I am concerned that Mum's things go missing when she doesn't really leave her room!

Both my mum and myself find all the staff friendly, helpful and caring. The meals provided are wonderful and the home is kept immaculately clean. There are wonderful activities and I feel these have helped my mum immensely. There is much encouragement to join in and something is going on daily, be it
quizzes, bingo, animal visits or nursery children, it's a wonderful environment.

My husband died on 8/4/25 in Claremont House. There was a member of staff with me from Saturday night, 9:30 pm, till his passing Sunday, 6am, virtually all the time. The kindness and love received has been overwhelming from all the carers, nursing staff, cleaners, kitchen staff and maintenance man,
not to mention the manager. Will never forget the wonderful care of both my husband and me over almost 6 years. Thank you.

My wife and I visited our relatives for the first time after they became residents at Claremont Nursing Home. From the outset, the friendliness and care shown was very evident. Our visit extended into their lunch and we were invited to have lunch with them which was very nice. We came away confident

I am with the local nursery and we visit on Monday mornings with around 10 youngsters ranging from 2-4 years old. With every visit the staff, children and residents gain lots of pleasure and enjoyment. The residents are always happy and looked after very well by the staff. The residents always talk
about how much they love being there and always talking about the activities they get up to. The facilities are excellent and very clean.

I go to the Claremont Nursing Home with a group of nursery children. From my observations the rooms are airy and clean. The carers are very attentive to the needs of the residents who seem to be well cared for and generally happy.

I have been visiting Claremont House now with my nursery children on a weekly basis for three years now. The residents are well cared for and supported by staff. The relationships they have with the residents is clear to see. The home is clean and bright and very inviting. The kitchen always prepare
snack that the residents and children share, which is always of the highest quality. Claremont has worked hard to create amazing spaces for the residents and we have also had the pleasure of meeting them out within the local community. Our work with Claremont has and continues to benefit both the children and residents by increasing well-being, building relationships and sharing skills. Everyone looks forward to Mondays and the joy that is felt by all during our sessions is immeasurable. Intergenerational care is gaining motion within Great Britain and I am so proud to be associated with Claremont and our ground breaking work. I would recommend Claremont highly.

The care that everyone does for my friend is lovely. I come into visit him every week.
Best thing there is the food and games.
I was allowed to join in when I visited last time for fish and chips and bingo games.
I miss my neighbour terribly but know that we still have a lot of fun time together
at his new home.
I know for sure when I where I would like to come when I need to be cared for sometime soon.

Always friendly but sometimes lack following up on questions and concerns of resident. I.e when asking after health concerns. But there's often something going on music, quiz. Have dogs come in.

Very welcoming and caring from all staff. Mum unable to present to join in with activities as bed bound, but hopefully can facilities in near future. Nice gesture for Christmas present to be given from Claremont Nursing Home, she enjoyed meeting the Grinch.

We were worried about putting Dad into a care home but we couldn't have chosen a better place. Dad's time at Claremont Lodge was filled with warmth, kindness and respect. The staff really are the kindest people and supported us as a family too.
Entertainment, especially singing and dancing, trips out
were important to Dad and we chose this home for the abundance of fun events and activities. We were not disappointed, as it was above and beyond all expectations. He very much enjoyed the food too. Despite his illness, Dad was able to laugh and have fun here, thanks to the whole amazing team of kind and loving people. Thank you to all.

My mum has been at Claremont Nursing Home since September 2022 following a stroke, she was only in for respite for physiotherapy, the then manager didn't push or follow up mum's physiotherapy and then left after a couple of months of Mum being there, then another manager took up the post of manager
and after just a few months he then left and another manager took over.
The now manager has turned the home around with the focus being that the home is the resident's home and the staff come to work to help and assist the residents with their daily needs as well as entertainment, the entertainment manager has really worked closely with the manager and now there are always activities on for the residents, including visits from the local nursery school, singers and cabaret weekly, bingo and even taking residents out to the beach on a 1-2-1 including my mum.
I am so happy with the way things have started turning around and would highly recommend Claremont Nursing Home.

Staff have been very kind throughout mum's stay between September 2022 and January 2023. Overall mum's been happy here. Towards the end of life, the care was truly exceptional. The staff and management are a really good bunch.
