View Full Details of Claremont Nursing HomeI can't praise enough all the staff at the Claremont for the care my mother is receiving. The nurses, carers, cleaners, admin, chefs & entertainment - all are excellent. My mother is always well dressed and clean. Her room always spotless. The meals are plentiful and varied and the activities and entertainment first class. Thank you.
The general appearance of the Claremont Nursing Home is very welcoming and professional. Mum is only in Claremont for respite care but in general is enjoying the experience and meeting the lovely carers.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent home made food with plenty of choice, a good assortment of dishes. I know the need for waterproof mattresses, but waterproof pillows were very hot. Had to wait at busy times for the buzzer to be answered. Following an accident I had a pleasant three weeks of being cared for, thank you.
My Mum became a resident in February 2025. She has dementia and can't walk so need extra special care. All the staff have been amazing including the Care team, Management, the kitchen and laundry. I visit regularly so I see the real home and the love and care shown. The activities co-ordinator keeps the residents entertained by organising things such as pat dogs, chair exercises, bingo, singers, board games and even paints nails. The Management team work hard and are making improvements to the home. I looked at many care homes along the way and as soon as I stepped into Claremont Lodge I had no doubt it was the right place for Mum and I haven't been disappointed. The Chef and her team are amazing with a choice of 2 hot meals all freshly cooked and served with a smile. Me. All family are made to feel welcome and can join their loved one any time for a meal, coffee or cake or entertainment. Praise where praise is due, and they certainly deserve it.
All the ladies are really lovely and helpful. Mum is now settled. I am concerned that Mum's things go missing when she doesn't really leave her room!
Staff all very sociable and helpful. 10/10
Both my mum and myself find all the staff friendly, helpful and caring. The meals provided are wonderful and the home is kept immaculately clean. There are wonderful activities and I feel these have helped my mum immensely. There is much encouragement to join in and something is going on daily, be it quizzes, bingo, animal visits or nursery children, it's a wonderful environment.
My husband died on 8/4/25 in Claremont House. There was a member of staff with me from Saturday night, 9:30 pm, till his passing Sunday, 6am, virtually all the time. The kindness and love received has been overwhelming from all the carers, nursing staff, cleaners, kitchen staff and maintenance man, not to mention the manager. Will never forget the wonderful care of both my husband and me over almost 6 years. Thank you.
My grandad absolutely loves being here. All the staff are so patient and kind with him. There are so many activities for him to join in with and ways to interact with everyone. We always feel so welcome here as his family too. I am so greatful for the whole teams support with him.
My grandmother is very well looked after in this home. The home is run very well and nothing is to much trouble from any of the staff here. I loved visiting and am also made very welcome. I can't thank them enough for all they do.
My wife and I visited our relatives for the first time after they became residents at Claremont Nursing Home. From the outset, the friendliness and care shown was very evident. Our visit extended into their lunch and we were invited to have lunch with them which was very nice. We came away confident that they were receiving very good care for their particular issues.
I am with the local nursery and we visit on Monday mornings with around 10 youngsters ranging from 2-4 years old. With every visit the staff, children and residents gain lots of pleasure and enjoyment. The residents are always happy and looked after very well by the staff. The residents always talk about how much they love being there and always talking about the activities they get up to. The facilities are excellent and very clean.
I go to the Claremont Nursing Home with a group of nursery children. From my observations the rooms are airy and clean. The carers are very attentive to the needs of the residents who seem to be well cared for and generally happy.
I have been visiting Claremont House now with my nursery children on a weekly basis for three years now. The residents are well cared for and supported by staff. The relationships they have with the residents is clear to see. The home is clean and bright and very inviting. The kitchen always prepare snack that the residents and children share, which is always of the highest quality. Claremont has worked hard to create amazing spaces for the residents and we have also had the pleasure of meeting them out within the local community. Our work with Claremont has and continues to benefit both the children and residents by increasing well-being, building relationships and sharing skills. Everyone looks forward to Mondays and the joy that is felt by all during our sessions is immeasurable. Intergenerational care is gaining motion within Great Britain and I am so proud to be associated with Claremont and our ground breaking work. I would recommend Claremont highly.
The care that everyone does for my friend is lovely. I come into visit him every week. Best thing there is the food and games. I was allowed to join in when I visited last time for fish and chips and bingo games. I miss my neighbour terribly but know that we still have a lot of fun time together at his new home. I know for sure when I where I would like to come when I need to be cared for sometime soon. Thank you.
I think you're all wonderful. My best friend and I had a great Christmas day. He is looked after like a king!
Always friendly but sometimes lack following up on questions and concerns of resident. I.e when asking after health concerns. But there's often something going on music, quiz. Have dogs come in.
Very welcoming and caring from all staff. Mum unable to present to join in with activities as bed bound, but hopefully can facilities in near future. Nice gesture for Christmas present to be given from Claremont Nursing Home, she enjoyed meeting the Grinch.
We were worried about putting Dad into a care home but we couldn't have chosen a better place. Dad's time at Claremont Lodge was filled with warmth, kindness and respect. The staff really are the kindest people and supported us as a family too. Entertainment, especially singing and dancing, trips out were important to Dad and we chose this home for the abundance of fun events and activities. We were not disappointed, as it was above and beyond all expectations. He very much enjoyed the food too. Despite his illness, Dad was able to laugh and have fun here, thanks to the whole amazing team of kind and loving people. Thank you to all.
Have always found the staff to be very caring and supportive. Any queries dealt with in a timely manner. Thank you to all - wonderful staff.
