Claremont House provides specialist nursing and elderly care for the local residents of Caister-on-sea, Norfolk. Run by a warm, welcoming and enthusiastic team, Claremont House offers high quality care that maintains an excellent reputation within the local community.

In addition, it incorporates a welcoming reception area, dining room, two lounges, one of which has an early 1950s feel, a themed hairdressing salon and an attractive sensory garden, on the patio, all of which residents and their guests can enjoy. Although rooms are fully furnished, they encourage residents to bring with them items of furniture and personal effects to complement those already provided so that their room can become an individual retreat.

Claremont Lodge, like Claremont House, is situated on the High Street of Caister-on-Sea conveniently near to a range of shops and amenities. To ensure, where possible, that residents have an active social life, regular trips takes are organised to the local shops, theatre, etc., allowing everyone to benefit from the fresh sea air of the nearby coastline. If you simply wish for peace and tranquillity, well maintained gardens and courtyards surround the home, allowing you to enjoy a haven from the bustle of the town.

After struggling to come to terms with the fact that hubby needed care. The Claremont Nursing Home was the best choice, I can now spend time with him relaxed and happy that he is well cared for and the staff are all brilliant.

My mum has been at Claremont Nursing Home since September 2022 following a stroke, she was only in for respite for physiotherapy, the then manager didn't push or follow up mum's physiotherapy and then left after a couple of months of Mum being there, then another manager took up the post of manager
and after just a few months he then left and another manager took over.
The now manager has turned the home around with the focus being that the home is the resident's home and the staff come to work to help and assist the residents with their daily needs as well as entertainment, the entertainment manager has really worked closely with the manager and now there are always activities on for the residents, including visits from the local nursery school, singers and cabaret weekly, bingo and even taking residents out to the beach on a 1-2-1 including my mum.
I am so happy with the way things have started turning around and would highly recommend Claremont Nursing Home.

Staff have been very kind throughout mum's stay between September 2022 and January 2023. Overall mum's been happy here. Towards the end of life, the care was truly exceptional. The staff and management are a really good bunch.

I would like to thank Claremont Nursing Home for the care they have given my mother who has Alzheimer's. Her room was nice with a private toilet facility. The staff were friendly and caring, and the office manager in particular was very kind and supportive and went above and beyond her job role.

My lovely friend (for whom we have POA) has been in the Claremont Nursing Home since 2018 as she could no longer live at home. She's got a nice room and is well cared for. I visit her regularly and the team of staff, including one of the nurses, have been there the whole time, they are lovely and kind
and make it the nicest time they can for all of the residents. They take my friend to the communal room as much as they can and have helped her to start eating on her own again. The new manager has been there for about a year, along with the admin lady. They are both really nice, caring and professional; the home feels better for them being there and the staff are happier. The manager has made some improvements and upgrades, including redecorating and a large TV in the communal area, which is great for the residents. My friend, who has dementia, is happy which is the most important thing. I would recommend the Claremont Nursing Home.

My experience from June 23rd 2022 has been positive. The carers have been personable and sensitive to my mother's needs. The management has been well-informed of my mother's condition and needs. My mother-in-law was admitted to Claremont Nursing Home for end of life care. The staff were brilliant with her and very accommodating for us to visit her. She had all of her needs met some of which could be quite complex. The staff went above and beyond to make sure she was happy in her short stay
with them. She had a comfy, quiet, private room which she requested but could always call on the carers for her needs whenever she needed them, day or night. As a family, we were very happy that we chose Claremont. The staff were considerate to my mum-in-law's needs and ours, caring, understanding and extremely kind and lovely when it was time to say goodbye. We can't thank them enough for all they did. Would certainly recommend this care home to others.

My husband stayed there for a few days while I had a well-earned break. The staff were lovely. They were friendly and professional and my husband very much enjoyed his break. He was treated with dignity and respect. He said that he would be more than happy to stay again which puts my mind at rest that
he is in safe hands and is being very well looked after. We were greeted at reception and everyone complied with Covid restrictions as far as I could tell during a very difficult time.

As soon as I opened the door to Claremont Nursing Home, I hear laughter. The staff are truly lovely, very bubbly, I’ve never met such a professional team, nothing is too much trouble, Mum is very comfortable and the team are always popping in to see Mum, chatting with Mum and making endless cups of
tea!
Mum has asked for her room to be decorated pink, with pink curtains and lampshade, and it’s happening, I saw the pink tin of paint today. I’m humbled by their kind gesture towards my mum, it’s above and beyond the call of duty, I know Mum will be thrilled.
I’m involved with Mum's care, communication is very good, I’m always kept in the loop, for that, I’m very grateful.
I would absolutely recommend this amazing nursing home to everyone.

My mum was able to have the opportunity to live in this fantastic establishment, my mum had been in a previous home that wasn't very nice and made her ill, and we felt she wasn't safe, so when we found the Claremont and with all the community that agreed it was a lovely home we went to the manager of
Claremont and she did her very best for my mum to able for her to come and live with them!. The manager and staff at the Claremont have made us feel mum is safe and through all the hard times of Covid they have reassured us of mum's safety we have had constant updates and been able to talk with mum on Skype, and finally, I was able to see my mum yesterday the 4th of December for the first time in months due to the pod being built. I can't recommend the Claremont enough for what they have done for my mum. 10000 stars from me, thank you to the manager and staff for keeping mum safe.

My mother-in-law was a resident at Claremont Lodge for just over a year. I always found the staff very friendly, polite and very helpful, always available to talk if we had any questions. They are very attentive towards the residents, nothing was too much trouble. My wife couldn't praise them enough.
Claremont Lodge is a pleasant place with good facilities, lots of entertainment and activities for the residents who are all encouraged to join in. My mother-in-law was very well looked after in a safe and caring environment, which gave us peace of mind. I would recommend Claremont Lodge Home to anyone.

My mum was a resident at Claremont Nursing Home for just over a year until she sadly passed away in July. I can't thank the manager and all the staff enough for the way Mum was looked after. They are a truly caring and compassionate team. They always treated me with respect and a friendly manner and
took time to listen to any worries I had about Mum. I was always kept updated if they had any concerns and even more so when her condition changed. The rooms are nice with own facilities. My mum had lots and lots of her own items which were added to her room to make it more personal. The walls were covered and shelves were filled just to make it feel like home. The food was good and plenty of it, talking from experience as I enjoyed a few meals there. There are two lovely ladies who organise entertainment and outings. Nothing was ever too much trouble for this dedicated team. I do miss going there. I would highly recommend Claremont Nursing Home. It is a safe, friendly, pleasant environment for anybody's loved one's to live.

My experience with Claremont Care Home has been excellent, the staff are very helpful, any questions I have are answered in a pleasant manner. Following on from my review 18 months ago, I am pleased to say that my mother who has advanced vascular dementia continues to be a happy, contented, well looked after resident at Claremont Lodge.
My mother is now immobile and unable to communicate, and completely dependant on the carers for all her
needs. It is a testament to the good care she has received over the past three years that she remains physically well and not anxious but content and smiley to all who visit her.
All of the staff treat residents as part of their families and there is always a calm, happy atmosphere when I visit. I feel the carers go beyond what is expected of them and go out of their way to ensure the residents feel secure and content in what is now their home.
The management, staff and carers are kind, compassionate and professional. Claremont Lodge is a wonderful example of how all good care homes should be. There are two outstanding young carers.

It is very early days, only 2 weeks since we moved our mum into Claremont Lodge. We can't believe how her quality of life has improved and she is now engaging with people and speaking and laughing which we haven't witnessed for a long time. We are in no doubt that this was the right decision for our

The most important part of my day is working with residents, providing a high standard of service that respects their individuality and honours their likes and dislikes. I’m currently working towards my Level 3 in Hospitality and Housekeeping, and bring experience from large organisations such as the NHS and private homes. Having worked here for nearly three years, including time in the kitchen department where I progressed to second chef, I’ve gained a strong base of experience to grow within the Housekeeping Team.
