They could do with more staff

My mum loves it at the Hillings which helps enormously. We've had a few health issues but they have all been supportive were they can. The senior staff especially have been fabulous. The activities team also do a brilliant job especially vicky who mum loves her painting her nails. Also a big shout out to the on sight hairdresser. She is so lovely with all the residence and for mum it's the highlight of her week getting her hair done.

The care and respect my wife received from all staff was excellent. We felt as a family you did all you could for my wife, we could visit at anytime and were always welcomed with kindness. A big thank you too you all at our most difficult time.

This is a joint review by David and Jeremy, the resident's sons. Our mother was in the home from November 2023 until her death in April 2026 with mixed dementia. As a part of this condition, she often presented as extremely agitated and sometimes aggressive. Overall during this whole period we were extremely pleased with the care, support and professionalism of Park House carers, staff and management. We were very comfortable with the safety and security of the home and the communications from management and nursing staff were quick, accurate and appropriate. Whenever we visited, without appointment, we found that there was always a carer who was empathetic and who understood and was responsive to her complex needs. This included keeping her calm when she was agitated through building warm relationships with the patient. We found the facilities and rooms somewhat dated and some investment would not come amiss but this doesn't detract from the the outstanding care that she received.

My mum has been at The Hillings since December 2025, the staff are all amazing, cannot fault them at all. They made everything easy, in a very difficult situation. They are so kind, helpful and listen to us as a family. Once my mums property is sold she will definitely become a resident. Thank you.

Cannot speak more highly. My mother is very happy at The Hillings and they offer exceptional care. The food is tasty and nutritional. Activities are arranged almost every day. It is so nice to see know she is looked after. Thankyou

Tracey and her team were amazing. You have no idea how hard that move is but they were all 100% supportive. We only moved mum to have her closer to family.

My mother has been a resident for over three years. I have never had to complain or ask question to her care. The whole team are exceptional and unique, they provide care and love for my mother and I am blessed to have her in that home.

Since my grandma was moved into park house care home, I couldn't have asked more from anyone who works in the building, the health care practitioners, nurses and carers have insured she was made comfortable and welcome from the minute she got here. It is such a relief from my perspective to know she's being looked after in the best way possible. At times it's been challenging as a family, but we all sleep soundly knowing she will be looked after and loved by all the staff. From first arrival until the present day, the care home has treated my mum with the utmost respect. The staff all support her in ways that make her feel valued and a full member of the Home Meadow team. Care staff and those providing all personal, catering and activities are brilliant, as are the admin team. My mum has felt very welcomed and settled in easily.

We are very pleased with the care and support that my father has received in his time at The Hillings. The staff and managment have gone out of there way in caring for him.

My/our experience of care give to our mother is generally excellent, the manager has always been, helpful, kind and understanding and I feel able to go to her if any concerns. The nursing staff are lovely, kind and caring to my mother and the day to day carers have shown love and compassion and understanding to my mother as she has dementia. They make her feel loved. The domestic staff to are great with her showing an interest to her and too are kind.

I was very happy with the care that dad received with his stay at home cloase and would happily recommend to anyone of my immediate family if ineeded.
