My/our experience of care give to our mother is generally excellent, the manager has always been, helpful, kind and understanding and I feel able to go to her if any concerns. The nursing staff are lovely, kind and caring to my mother and the day to day carers have shown love and compassion and understanding
to my mother as she has dementia. They make her feel loved. The domestic staff to are great with her showing an interest to her and too are kind.

Fantastic experience with home close and its carers, dad needed residential care from September 25 and I needed accommodation for him quite rapidly after doing a quick review search of the local area I found home close and was able to get an appointment to have a look the same day, experience after
four months of residential care is that it is a loving caring home and the staff all seem to act as one big family.
I was very happy with the care that dad received with his stay at home cloase and would happily recommend to anyone of my immediate family if ineeded.

Since moving my Dad to Park house in July he has blossomed and progressed fantastically well. so cared for and so happy. Thank you for giving him excellent nursing care , brilliant experiences through activities and outings and a wonderful standard of food; all have worked wonders on his physical, emotional
and mental health.
Thank you all for giving me back my Dad; for letting the lovely man he was resurface and enjoy his life again.
Means so very much to me . X

My brother received excellent care in the time he was in the home, before he died peaceful We always had a member of our family in the home while our brother was there. We were also well looked after by the wonderful staff, and nothing was too much for them. They were all very caring and kind, and we
couldn't have asked for better care and attention for our brother. Every member of staff are a credit to the home. The home deserves full marks for which I haven given it.

The care my family has received at this care home has been nothing but exceptional. They provided end of life care for my dad, showing compassion, dignity and genuine warmth during an incredibly difficult time. The ongoing care for my mum has been equally outstanding. The staff consistently go above
and beyond! The manager is especially supportive and approachable. She is always there when you need guidance and support. Her leadership creates a comforting and positive atmosphere that you can feel the moment you walk in. I truly cannot rate this care home enough. It is clear that everyone here works with heart and real dedication.

The care for my brother and all of his family was exceptional. It was delivered with love and compassion. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff being it in meeting my brother's needs, answering our questions or ensuring we were comfortable. Although we spent a lot of time there we were
not made to feel in the way. It was never too much trouble for the chef to accommodate my brother's fussy attitude to food! We are deeply grateful for the love and care we received at this traumatic time.

I cannot praise the Hillings highly enough.
My Dad spent almost 3 years there before he died there in November this year. He had dementia and his condition deteriorated over the time he was there, so care needed to be adjusted to suit his needs over time.
The staff and management have provided excellent
care and support. The manager is very strong, she has an excellent understanding of the position of relatives, as she has been there herself, and she listens to all feedback. Not every single thing has been perfect over the period, but if I've had any concerns or suggestions, she's acted on them quickly and changes have been made.
There have been many carer and other staff over the 3 years but no one has made me feel that my feelings weren't valid, or that my Dad didn't deserve the very best care. Even when stretched, the carers have had a smile and treated Dad like an individual.
Living with a relative with dementia is very challenging and the Hillings supported us through that.

In August 2025 my nanny was very poorly in hospital and she needed a nursing home.
There was a really lovely nurse who came from the nursing home to see myself and my nanny at the hospital. The nurse was very kind, caring and understanding as I explained I had never been in this situation before.

The nurse was very professional and said "it's ok Louise we will look after nanny"
I was feeling very anxious about everything. My nanny was on palliative care at the time .
we was greeted by a wonderful team of nurses , health care assistants and everywhere was very clean and organised, ALL the staff was so lovely and all of a sudden this felt like a family place where I felt comfortable leaving nanny .I sat with nanny I sat with nanny and had a lovely cup of tea there was no one rushing me to leave . I was very emotional at the time and the amazing staff comfted me . The meals nan receives are all home made, there is lots of activities available.well done Park house your all amazing

Park House Nursing Home

My friend transferred from supported living to Park House Nursing Home earlier this year, following a diagnosis of vascular dementia. He had rapidly deteriorated and was in and out of hospital with issues and falls and his level of care was so poor.

Since arriving at Park House he has what I can

only describe as "sprung back to life". This Home is really a home from home. The staff are amazing, kind, caring, friendly, supportive, attentive and always smiling and pleased to see you and everyone under their care. It's apparent that this radiates from the top down. The level of care is exemplary as is the quality of food and activities for the residents.

We are beyond grateful for how you have transformed my friend and we know that he is in the best place possible, which gives us such peace of mind, we couldn't ask for you.

Thank you all so much.

Julie

All the staff were kind, friendly and very caring. Residents were encouraged to join in activities and my wife enjoyed these and though she would not usually join in, the cares encouragement worked! Food was good, the room nice. Overall a great ( respite) experience which we hope to repeat when the
need for respite care comes round again with a view to long term care in the future. Thank you all!

A big thank you for care and friendship you have all given my father over the past two years.
When dad first came to Home Meadow he was very reluctant to come out of his room - or join in any of the activities. However, you all worked hard to encourage dad to go up to the lounge and following this
dad started socialising and enjoying the activities.
This was solely down to the dedication of you - the Home Meadow staff.
Dad loved Home Meadow - and this is very apparent in talking to him and seeing the wonderful photos of him laughing and enjoying himself - you all made the last two years of dad's
life happy and content.
Reply from Noby Jacob, Home Manager at Home MeadowDear Joanna, we are very proud to hear that we managed to make a difference to your dad's life during his stay at Home Meadow. many thanks for your beautiful and encouraging words.

My father was in Home Close Care Home from Nov 2023 - Oct 2025. His first year, he was mobile and preferred being in a 'home'. The staff were excellent in welcoming him (& us as visitors) & learning to cope with his frustrations. From Oct 2024, he was bed bound and incontinent, but still the staff dealt
with his conditions with excellent care and attitude. He died in Oct 2025, and this was dealt with in a very caring manner. My wife and I would be pleased to be in Home Close when we're older!
