Uvedale Hall is a small residential home. It doesn't feel clinical, just homely and very friendly whilst delivering efficient, personal centred care. All the staf are excellent, being both friendly and professional. They have time to chat to me & I have always found them very helpful. I have seen and heard them show patience, care, kindness and friendliness to all the residents. I have also found the management to be helpful, supportive, knowledgeable and knowing relatives names - no mean feat! The activities including trips out, are excellent and dad always praises the quality and variety of food. Well done and thank to you everyong for providing such a happy, loving home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us such a lovely review. We strive to always be the best we can be for those in our care and your words have captured this perfectly. Thank you - The manager and Team Uvedale.
My relative is being well cared for here; we really couldn't ask for any more. Food is excellent, as is the cleanliness. Staff are exceptional, nothing too much trouble, and make Uvedale Hall a happy place to live. Very well managed home.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback, which will be shared with the team. With our best wishes, the manager and team Uvedale.

Everywhere clean and food home cooked . She has joined into activities every day, yesterday was a party afternoon which was excellent entertained by Elvis great fun. Mum has much improved since being here and says will come back if needed which says it all.
With our best wishes, The Manager and Team Uvedale
I have just returned home from visiting my dad and attending a birthday party for 3 other residents. What can I say, simply fantastic!! They had an Elvis tribute and he was amazing. He interacted with all the residents, and everyone had an amazing time. The staff and management are absolutely incredible not only at getting everyone involved today, but in all of their support of everyone day to day. My dad has been at Uvedale hall for 6 months and he really is getting first class care in what I can only express as a real family feel home. Thank you all for everything you do.
Thank you so much for your fabulous review of what was a fantastic afternoon. I will share your comments with all the team. With our best wishes The manager and team Uvedale.
The staff are fantastic.Friendly and caring.Food all home cooked and never short in supply.
Elvis visited today to celebrate birthday. He was amazing.Spent time with all residents individually.Fantastic party atmosphere enjoyed by all.
A lovely home away from home.
Mum will be returning to her home shortly but will return for respite again as needed or long term when she decides the time is right.
Thank you for reviewing our "party" today. We are so pleased you enjoyed it and got to see the joy and fun that runs through the Hall. With our best wishes, the Manager and Team Uvedale.
This 14-day stay was unexpected, so I was a bit apprehensive about going. There was no need to have worried. The welcome was genuine, and all the staff were friendly. My bedroom was warm and comfortable with an ensuite. Towels and flannels are changed daily. I could not fault my stay there, and if necessary, I would stay again with no worries.
With our best wishes,
The manager and team Uvedale
When my mother had to leave her home after 75 years, we visited Uvedale Hall as soon as we walked in we could see it was different to other homes we had been in. Greeted by very friendly staff also it looked very clean, we were shown a room for her, she was very happy in there, also she loved the activitys laid on in the lounge sadly during her stay my mum passed away, but the care given was exceptional, she was looked after there very well.
It was an honour to care for your mum, and to spend time with her wonderful family.
With our best wishes The Manager and Team Uvedale.
Mum has been living at Uvedale Hall for just over two years now and from the first day everyone has been so welcoming, caring and always professional. All the staff from the Manager to the care teams, kitchen staff, housekeepers and gardening and maintenance teams are always so helpful and friendly, making sure that all the residents and families feel welcome and supported. Nothing is too much trouble and they all try to make sure that everyone has their physical and emotional support needs met. The afternoon activities are absolutely wonderful and everyone is encouraged to join in and also offer suggestions for new activities. The food is marvellous and everyone enjoys meals. Mum has made many new friends and we have no concerns about her welfare and happiness. Each person is treated as an individual and during Mum's review particular attention was paid to what Mum likes doing and what makes her happy.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review on the home and how we all strive to be the best we can be for those in our care. I will ensure your comments are shared with the team. With thanks and best wishes The Manager and Team Uvedale.
Sadly Dad has recently passed. He was aged 103 years and lived a full life. His last 3 years and four months were at Uvedale Hall. He was very independent and proud and really did not want to enter a care home, we were worried about this. Fortunately for us Dad entered Uvedale Hall where he quickly settled in because the staff are quite simply an amazing bunch. It is such a friendly place, Dad made new friends with guests but especially the staff as they were always chatting to him (he was very social and loved chatting) and they were so very kind and considerate. He became part of their family and they cared for him so well. Dad always enjoyed his food and this was another excellent thing. The entertainment was also incredible, Dad especially enjoyed Bingo, quizzes, pool, exercises and all the brilliant things which were thought up by the entertainment carer, she is just a natural at that job. A big thank you to Uvedale Hall for making Dad's last few years so comfortable and enjoyable
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us such a beautiful review, when you and your family are grieving. Having your father live with us here was an absolute honour. He has taught us all so very much, he was a true gentleman and we will miss him greatly. With our very best wishes, The Manager and Team Uvedale.
The staff are my hero's. I can leave my aunt in the hands of the sympathetic, professional and caring team.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. To see that you refer to us as "Hero's" is genuinely fantastic and is a true reflection of what we strive to achieve for those who we are lucky to care for. With our best wishes the Manager and Team Uvedale.
My mum has now been a resident at Uvedale Hall for about 3 years now. The manager who is there now and was also there at the beginning of Mum's stay is fantastic. She has been great with mum and equally good with us as relatives. Her staff are always helpful, polite, and best of all, very, very patient! Couldn't fault my mum's care at all. The home has a lovely atmosphere, warm and friendly.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so pleased you all feel the love and care we have to share at Uvedale. With our best wishes the manager and team Uvedale.
Dad has been a resident at Uvedale Hall for nearly a year now and we could not wish for better care. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff and there is a lovely family atmosphere. Dad has settled in well and is very happy there. The manager and her team have achieved a real home from home, caring and cheerful care home. We could not have chosen better, thank you.
Thank you so much for such a heart felt review. You have complimented us on everything we try to achieve for those in our care. I will ensure your comment are shared with the team. With my thanks and best wishes, The Manager and Team Uvedale
My aunt really likes all the staff and appreciates the care she is given. She enjoys being able to attend the garden and feed the birds from her room.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review on your experience of Uvedale Hall. We are so pleased your aunt is happy here with us. With our best wishes Suzanne and Team Uvedale.
Mum has been at Uvedale Hall now for 18 months, and we couldn't be happier. The accommodation is lovely and homely, and the program of activities is first class, but what really makes it special is the fantastic team of people that work there. Everyone is so helpful, dedicated and upbeat. In what can be difficult times for families, they really take a weight off your shoulders.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this wonderful review. At Uvedale we are one big family and your words encapsulate this perfectly. With our best wishes, The manager and Team Uvedale.
This was with the manager, deputy manager and senior. This was absolutely brilliant so informative and I could suggest things about Dad's care too. Really helped me & Dad. Thank you all at Uvedale Hall and the manager. Such a good idea to do this review for Dad.
I am so pleased that you both found the new review format informative and purposeful. Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge this and complete a review to highlight how we all work together to ensure those who live at Uvedale get the best care possible. With our best wishes The Manager and Team Uvedale.
My mum came to Uvedale Hall as we loved the home from home feel it has. Whilst mum was there we couldn't fault the love and care she received. I have no hesitation in recommending Uvedale to anyone looking for care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review the care and support we provided to your mum whilst she was with us. As a team, we always try to go above and beyond and to see this recognised brings us all a great sense of satisfaction. With our thanks and best wises the manager and team Uvedale.
From start to finish as a family we were impressed with the care of our mum. Sadly mum had to go into hospital and unable to return due to her needs. But would and have recommended Uvedale Hall to anyone looking for a care home for a loved family member. From the management to carers & other staff most helpful caring and an understanding ear to talk to and listen to your concerns. Only wish she was able to return.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review for us, i will ensure your comments re shared with the team. With our best wishes, the manager and team Uvedale.
I have completed my mum's care place review today. All involved now have a clear picture of what a daily routine of events looks like. Thus, allowing for the very best of support in care for Mum, a deeper understanding for staff as to how small improvements make a big difference. Adjustments have been efficiently recorded for staff to access and follow through. Regular contact and discussions to continue, enabling relevant care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, especially focusing on the care reviews we have introduced recently. We all work very hard to ensure those in our care are at the very heart of the home, and to read your feedback truly supports this. With our best wishes, the Manager and Team Uvedale.
I attended mums care plan review today. I found the process very helpful and the care manager explained everything in great detail and was also to answer any queries I had. Whenever I visit Mum she is always well dressed. clean & tidy and I know she is well looked after by the team at Uvedale Hall. I always ask her how she is - does she have any feedback and her reply is I have no grumbles! What is there to grumble about this home is amazing everything you want is provided.

Overall I have found Uvedale Hall good in lots of places, excellent in others. My friend was in Uvedale for 16 months and she always praised the food and the staff. I did find items in her drawers that were not hers. The staff seemed to try to make life as pleasant as possible. The activities seemed to be at a high level and varied. With encouragement to join in. There is also an attempt to get the community to join in.
Many thanks for taking the time to complete a review on your experience of Uvedale Hall. We always try to ensure those in our care are looked over to the best of our abilities at all times. Kind regards The manger and team Uvedale.

Meet the Team (11)

I enjoy the close-knit, family atmosphere of the home where we all support each other and work as one team. By building strong, personal relationships with residents and their families, I’m able to provide truly person-centred care that enhances each individual’s quality of life. I have over 10 years’ experience in domiciliary care, previously worked as a 999 call handler, and hold Level 2 and 3 in Adult Social Care, Level 2 in End-of-Life Care, and I am currently completing Level 5 in Leadership in Adult Social Care.

The residents are the reason I love coming to work each day. I care for them with empathy and understanding, shaped by my own experience of having a family member in a care home setting. Before moving into care, I worked with children in schools, and I’ve since completed all the training needed for my role.

I love working here as it truly feels like my second home and a safe, happy place. Every day is different, full of fun, laughter and sometimes a few tears, and we really are one big family that extends to all residents and their loved ones. My laughter is infectious, and even if residents don’t always see me, they often hear me and say it reassures them. I previously worked as a Caretaker and in Building Support, and since joining Healthcare Homes, I’ve achieved my NVQ in Hospitality, which supports me in my role.

Uvedale Hall is a beautiful home, and I really enjoy working with the wonderful residents. I take time to understand each person’s food and drink needs, making sure they can enjoy what they love while receiving the right nutrition. Alongside my Healthcare Homes training, caring for my own mother, who lived with dementia, has given me valuable experience and insight, helping me understand residents’ needs and support them in a thoughtful and personal way.

Working in the home feels like being part of a huge family, and I enjoy coming to work each day as we all work together so well for the residents and their families. I bring joy, smiles, and laughter to residents through a variety of activities and the entertainment program, ensuring each experience is person-centred, whether it is a group activity or simply sharing a cup of tea. My previous experience as a Cosmetic Consultant at Debenhams gave me confidence and people skills.

I really enjoy spending time with the residents and look forward to every day I’m here, whether it’s for one shift a week or more. I care for each resident as if they were my own family, sharing laughter as well as support, and it often feels like having lots of extra grandparents to enjoy and love. Before joining Healthcare Homes, I worked as a Manager at a community shop in Somersham, where I helped run an over-60s club. Since joining the care sector, I’ve achieved my Level 2 in Adult Social Care and began my first role as a carer.

I love decorating the home and being part of the great team at Uvedale Hall. I enjoy making residents happy, working closely with them and their families to create safe, welcoming spaces that reflect who they are. I was originally trained as a painter and decorator, have experience across a range of building trades, and have completed all required Healthcare Homes training to keep the home safe and well maintained.

I enjoy the family feel of the home and building good relationships with the residents, while taking pride in maintaining high housekeeping standards in such a beautiful setting at Uvedale Hall. Working closely with the housekeeping team, I help keep the home warm, welcoming, and fresh, and it’s always lovely to hear residents say how pleased they are with their rooms. My previous experience working in a hair salon, supporting the team and welcoming clients, along with my passion for keeping a well cared for home, helps me bring a high standard of cleanliness and care to my role.

I enjoy both the administrative challenges of my role and being hands-on in the home, bringing a balance of organisation and fun to each day. I believe in enriching residents’ lives by supporting not just their care needs but also the little things that make a difference. I also bring over 20 years of experience working with systems and organisation, supported by CTEC qualifications in Word and Excel, and previous roles programming books for Cambridge University departments, including African Studies and Performing Arts, as well as Clare College.

I have worked in care since the age of 16, gaining extensive experience across different roles and departments, including at another local Healthcare Homes nursing home. I have also completed NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Care.
I work in a warm and welcoming team that feels like a family while maintaining a professional environment. I am continuously developing new skills and feel well supported in my role.

I joined Uvedale in September 2021 and take great pride in preparing fresh, enjoyable meals each day. Cooking has always been a passion of mine, and I value being part of such a supportive team. I work closely with residents to understand their preferences and nutritional needs, creating seasonal menus that are both balanced and exciting, so mealtimes are something to look forward to.
I hold a Level 3 Food Hygiene & Food Safety qualification and am fully trained in specialist areas including dysphagia and allergies, ensuring meals are always prepared safely and to the highest standards.
