At Healthcare Homes staff are compassionate, committed and caring. They are selected for these values and the management team do everything they can to support staff to help them to fulfil their promises to you.

The team treat everyone they care for just as they would a member of their own family; every member of staff is treated as a family member too.

The homes are warm, friendly places. They range from rural Vicarages and Manor Houses to urban modern builds. Healthcare Homes doesn't do cookie cutter!

Once you have decided that a move into one of their care homes is the right decision for you, they do everything they can to get to know you well so that they can design a care plan that is completely bespoke and unique.

They take the time to find out about your care needs and preferences: the types of hobbies and activities you would enjoy; what you have done in your lifetime and what routines you are used to; what you do and don’t like to eat; and much more. They then design and document a care plan so that everybody involved in your care knows exactly how you would like to be cared for.

And they provide much more than care homes. They also offer wrap-around 24-hour live-in care; homecare packages that adapt to your needs; and specialist care for people with more complex needs. And when your needs change, their care can change to meet your needs.

My father came to Tenchley early May with very swollen (fluid retained) legs which were ulcerated and this had been going on for many many months. Within 5 days of him being at Tenchley his legs returned to normal size and he now does not have any bandages on as the open wounds have healed. We cannot
thank the staff & management enough for their care and attention that our Dad has received.

Uvedale Hall is a small residential home. It doesn't feel clinical, just homely and very friendly whilst delivering efficient, personal centred care. All the staf are excellent, being both friendly and professional. They have time to chat to me & I have always found them very helpful. I have seen and
heard them show patience, care, kindness and friendliness to all the residents. I have also found the management to be helpful, supportive, knowledgeable and knowing relatives names - no mean feat! The activities including trips out, are excellent and dad always praises the quality and variety of food. Well done and thank to you everyong for providing such a happy, loving home.
Reply from Suzanne York, Registered Home Manager at Uvedale HallThank you so much for taking the time to write us such a lovely review. We strive to always be the best we can be for those in our care and your words have captured this perfectly. Thank you - The manager and Team Uvedale.

Park House Nursing Home

from David T (Son of Resident) published on 10 June 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
This is a joint review by David and Jeremy, the resident's sons. Our mother was in the home from November 2023 until her death in April 2026 with mixed dementia. As a part of this condition, she often presented as extremely agitated and sometimes aggressive. Overall during this whole period we were
extremely pleased with the care, support and professionalism of Park House carers, staff and management. We were very comfortable with the safety and security of the home and the communications from management and nursing staff were quick, accurate and appropriate. Whenever we visited, without appointment, we found that there was always a carer who was empathetic and who understood and was responsive to her complex needs. This included keeping her calm when she was agitated through building warm relationships with the patient. We found the facilities and rooms somewhat dated and some investment would not come amiss but this doesn't detract from the the outstanding care that she received.

Kingsmead Care Home

from P V (Son of Resident) published on 2 June 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Kingsmead Care Home. They did an excellent job caring for my dear mum for the last 9 months of her life. We were initially very reluctant to put Mum into a care home, but our fears were soon allayed as she quickly settled in.
Kingsmead Care
Home was very homely, and the staff cared for my Mum with love, patience, and respect. I visited most days and always felt welcome, no matter what time of day I went. I found it very touching to often see members of staff, visiting mum at the end of their shift.
There was a varied programme of entertainment, activities, and trips to keep the residents stimulated. Mum especially enjoyed the singing entertainment and loved to dance to the music. We were kept well informed of all events and encouraged to go along and join in.
I personally miss going to Kingsmead as I got to know the friendly staff and other residents too. I would not hesitate to recommend Kingsmead to anyone.
Reply from Jinu Thomas, Home Manager at Kingsmead Care HomeThank you for your kind and thoughtful feedback. St Leonards is run very well and has a real family feel about it , all the staff are friendly caring and go the extra mile in looking after my loved one,
Activities are great especially the singers to which most of the residents sing along.
I'm always kept updated with anything I need to be made
aware of in regards to my mother.

Kingsmead staff and management are a great credit to their profession with their high standards of service and care they showed to mum during the last months of her life. We could not have hoped for better care and we are forever grateful for that. Certainly happy to recommend Kingsmead for their 5
star service.

All of the staff are absolutely lovely, friendly, kind and attentive. I honestly cannot fault it at all. Eileen is very happy here, she comments to me about how good the staff are, how lovely the food is and how much she likes it here!
