She does enjoy many of the activities here and the activities staff always encourage and find things that she can join in with. I cannot thank you enough for your high praise of the home, the staff are a fantastic bunch who take great pride in the care they provide. I am not sure we have ever been called a "comfy blanket" but it is a description I will happily take for the home and the committed staff who work here. We are really pleased that you found the outstanding staff, were so nice and friendly. We try to make every visit special and are glad you felt that you were welcomed to our home.

We do have large mostly ensuite (shower, toilet and sink) rooms here in comparison to many other places, and we believe that this means people can feel really settled and at home,e which can only be a benefit.

We provide permanent and respite accommodation for individuals with residential, nursing, respite, palliative, and nursing dementia needs. Our services include complete en-suite and basin with WC rooms. Additionally, we offer privately funded, local authority, and NHS-funded placements.
I am a dedicated home manager with over 20 years of experience in healthcare, starting as a nurse in 1997.
Since 2020, I’ve focused on providing exceptional care in nursing homes, ensuring residents live fulfilling lives in a supportive environment. Outside of work, I’m a proud mother of three and an avid marathon runner.
I’ve met incredible people here, and I love hearing the amazing stories from our residents. With my BSc in Adult Nursing, I’ve completed the End of Life Pathway course and Mental Health First Aider training, making a real difference in their lives.
I enjoy making people laugh and taking time to sit and chat with residents, helping to brighten their day. I’ve also completed COSHH training, which supports me in keeping the home safe and comfortable for everyone.
Every day is different and always busy, but I enjoy keeping the residents safe and ensuring their well-being. I’ve completed Eroster Training, Sales Ledger Induction, and Show Round Training.
Sharon decided to work at Healthcare Homes as she wanted to get back into good old-fashioned cooking.
Prior to joining Healthcare Homes, Sharon was a head chef/Manager at a school for autistic children.
She believes you need to be passionate about your role, have very high standards and enjoys what you are doing. Be adaptable, reliable and friendly to be good in her role.
The favourite part of her working day is serving lunches to residents and receiving feedback from them and seeing residents enjoying their meals.
The biggest professional challenge in her career to date was making the decision to move to the care sector from the education sector. As it turned out, it has been the best decision she has ever made.
Sharon's biggest career highlight to date was preparing food for Princess Anne!
Qualities that make her stand out are being approachable, hardworking, reliable and trustworthy.
Outside of work, she enjoys watching rugby and watching her son play rugby. She also enjoys music and playing darts.
Sharon looks forward to seeing residents and relatives enjoying their meals as it is a major part of their every daily lives at Blandford Grange.
The second I walked into Blandford Grange it felt like a home away from home, the staff have an infectious attitude, and the residents and relatives are truly amazing. There is never a dull moment, and you never know what each day will bring! I couldn’t imagine a better place to work. I love being able to interact with our residents, relatives and team at the front of the house at reception.
