We found the staff at Kingsmead Care Home warm, friendly and accommodating, they cared for my mother very well and tended to her needs. They would always make us feel welcome when we visited, and overall it was a warm and comforting experience.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Kingsmead Care Home. They did an excellent job caring for my dear mum for the last 9 months of her life. We were initially very reluctant to put Mum into a care home, but our fears were soon allayed as she quickly settled in.
Kingsmead Care Home was very homely, and the staff cared for my Mum with love, patience, and respect. I visited most days and always felt welcome, no matter what time of day I went. I found it very touching to often see members of staff, visiting mum at the end of their shift.
There was a varied programme of entertainment, activities, and trips to keep the residents stimulated. Mum especially enjoyed the singing entertainment and loved to dance to the music. We were kept well informed of all events and encouraged to go along and join in.

I personally miss going to Kingsmead as I got to know the friendly staff and other residents too. I would not hesitate to recommend Kingsmead to anyone.

Kingsmead staff and management are a great credit to their profession with their high standards of service and care they showed to mum during the last months of her life. We could not have hoped for better care and we are forever grateful for that. Certainly happy to recommend Kingsmead for their 5 star service.

My sister has been resident in Kingsmead for almost six years, and though there have been three changes of management during this time, my sister has been nursed with consistent care and expertise. Though physically unable to participate in the activities of the home, I find in every visit, a happy atmosphere and always something planned for those able to participate. Communication from the care and nursing staff is always good, and I have no hesitation in recommending Kingsmead as a well-run, professional establishment.

My daughter too me to see my friend and as I was diagnosed with Dementia, my daughter cares for me. I have told her if I ever get so bad and need to go into a home I want to come to Kingsmead. I am so impressed in what I see when I go and see my friend.

Me and my mother (who also has the start of Dementia) came to see her best friend. I was so surprised on how wonderful the staff were and how they truly care so much for their patients. I was that impressed that if ever one day I need to place one of my loved ones into a care home this place will definitely be the one. I have been to other care homes in Swindon and this by far is one of the best in Swindon area.

My father was very well looked after at Kingsmead. He was treated with dignity and respect - even when he was doing things that were not the easiest to deal with. The staff ensured that my Dad had what he needed and went out of their way to make him comfortable. They were even able to provide bespoke meals to him when eating became more difficult. I always received a warm welcome from the staff when I visited, and overall the care has been excellent. Thank you to everyone at Kingsmead.

I feel so comfortable going back to Spain, after moving my father to Kingsmead for palliative care. The staff were reassuring, and I could tell by the atmosphere at the home, they were very caring. They look time to find out what was important to my dad. I'm back after a week and found that, my initial thoughts have all been proved correct. I could not wish for better at this end of life stage for my father.

Das has been well cared for since being looked after by Kingsmead Care Home from August 2024. He had dementia and is unable to care for himself. The team at Kingsmead provide an excellent care package and are willing to go an 'extra mile' to ensure he has the best possible care for his condition. The staff always have a smile even when he is pushing them away even though he needs their support. They understand his needs and are professional, supportive and above all very patient with him and his care.

I come up regularly to see my mum and always get a good welcome from all staff. I see all the activities on social media. I think they do a brilliant job the activities staff. Some of the videos are so funny and they get all residents joining in. I know my mum especially likes to go swimming. Keep up the good work as you all do a brilliant job.

The home is lovely, clean and filled with amazing carers.
There's always has so much going on for the residents.
Everyone is always super helpful but I what stands out the most to me in the activities. There is always something for the residents to do, especially in the run up to Christmas they have a whole selection of things to get up to.

Well done to the team.

My late sister's husband (my brother-in-law) entered Kingsmead very reluctantly in April 2019 for a trial of two weeks to see if he liked it. After the first week, he asked when he could go home but at the end of the trial period with the help and attention he received from the staff he had settled. So the next four years until his passing on April 27 2024 he was surrounded by residents and staff that made his final years a real joy so I cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention he received.

The staff at Kingsmead were amazing from their manager down. They were aware of our previous bad experience with my grandfather's care at the hospital and wholeheartedly took on board our concerns with his condition. They provided amazing care and preserved his dignity throughout his time there. My mum and I will be eternally grateful for them all as they supported us more than I think even they realised.
