Fish and chips delight at Haslington care home

Residents at Primrose House care home in Haslington, Crewe enjoyed a delightful dinner of fish and chips in honour of the re-opening of the new village fish and chip shop.

Vivienne and Elizabeth, who are both residents at the Crewe-based care home, had expressed their desires to have a fish and chips Friday.

After a walk through the village, admiring the countryside views and taking in some fresh air, Vivienne and Elizabeth selected their choices from the fish and chip shop.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed their trip out and their dinner, which brought back some nostalgic memories.

Elizabeth said: “I used to come to this chip shop with my husband Ron on a Friday night!”

The owners of the fish and chip shop also kindly agreed to donate a voucher to be used as a prize at Primrose House’s 'care home open day' raffle.
