Residents from Sundridge Court Nursing Home in Bromley had the chance to visit Biggin Hill Museum for the day this month.
The residents explored the grounds of the museum including the chapel to honour those who lost their lives fighting. In the Chapel we all paid tribute with a 2-minute silence, this was a very emotional time for everyone.
The memorabilia was amazing and each resident had the chance to try on a hat from that era and admire some of the well-presented uniforms.
Residents enjoyed their lunch alfresco whilst watching flights come in and out of Biggin Hill Airport. One of our residents here at Sundridge was able to reminisce about his pilot days saying “This has brought back some lovely memories and the views I have seen from my plane”
This was a lovely day and the weather was just beautiful residents will be talking about the trip for days to come.
At Sundridge Court, we provide residential and nursing for up to 28 elderly people and were rated ‘Good’ in our latest CQC report.
