Queen’s lady-in-waiting letter

We were very lucky to receive a letter from the Queen’s lady-in-waiting this week.

At the start of April we decided to send a Birthday card to the Queen, on the occasion of her 94th Birthday on 21st April 2020.

We included a letter from the residents and two photographs of the home and the residents out enjoying the garden.

We never expected to receive a response from the palace (Windsor Castle, where she is staying) and were thrilled when the envelope and letter arrived yesterday – Thursday 30th April.

Home manager Nicola Thomas went around the rooms and showed the residents and read it out to them. They were all overjoyed and it lifted their spirits during this extremely strange time.

We give thanks to Her Majesty for her kind response.
