David Hare Mayor of Earley, has visited Barchester’s Austen House in Earley to deliver care packages to all the staff and residents.
David joined staff on the driveway of the home for a presentation and some truly lovely words of encouragement before handing out the goodies to everyone. Due to social distancing and being that the home is currently closed to visitors.
David said “We know how hard everyone is working at the moment and we really wanted to give something back to say thank you. A few local business’s also wanted to help with one shop chocoholics helping out with a delivery of chocolate bars”
General Manager at Austen House, Natsayi Dunira said: “It was lovely to have David and all the Earley Help Hub here for the afternoon. The residents were delighted that he was able to visit us. We have promised them all afternoon tea when they can come in properly to see us again soon!”
