Armchair travel day to Mexico

Residents enjoyed a fun-filled Day when we arranged an Armchair Travel Day to Mexico! The morning was spent learning about the history, culture and cuisine of Mexico, with a specially made information pamphlet full of interesting facts and a Mexican themed word search to complete at their leisure. The residents enjoyed a wonderful lunch including the choice of Mexican style spiced prawn salad starters, chilli con carne which was followed by a delicious Mexican style chocolate cake with cinnamon and cayenne pepper! The afternoon was full of laughter as the staff danced in fancy dress to Mariachi music while the residents enjoyed Mexican beer tasting and tortilla chips and dips. The day was rounded up with the traditional game of piñata! When the donkey was hit several times it burst open giving all the residents sweets and chocolate treats. Residents thanked all the team for their efforts in making the day so memorable and a lot of fun.
