Amy Woodgate House receives a 'GOOD' rating from CQC Health Inspectors

Amy Woodgate House care home celebrated on 11th January 2023 after receiving a GOOD rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) health inspectors. Ward councillor for Chessington South and Malden Rushett and Leader of Kingston Council Andreas Kirsch joined our Residents, relatives, friends, and support office team members and enjoyed a lovely evening filled with live entertainment, delicious food, and company.

Amy Woodgate House was previously managed on an interim basis by the Royal Borough of Kingston and in early 2022 was successfully acquired by Gold Care Homes. The company has since continued improvement work and provided investment culminating in the home’s CQC rating moving from requires improvement to Good.

CQC praised Amy Woodgate House for its strong leadership, caring approach, and safe environment. The Care Home was awarded ‘Good’ in the five key areas of safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.

This demonstrates the compassion and dedication of the team members at the care home to deliver high standards of care to their residents.

Councillor Andreas Kirsch said, '‘it was a great celebration and lovely to see the residents, family members, and staff enjoying themselves. We work with social care providers across the borough to support the delivery of high-quality care for our residents. It's fantastic to see the hard work and dedication of the team at Amy Woodgate House recognised in this Good rating from the Care Quality Commission."

Relatives quoted in the report, said, ‘’staff are compassionate, loving and always encourage their relatives to maintain independence wherever possible.’’
