Tracy's done it all

Kitchen, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Carer, Team Leader and Manager.

These are all roles Tracy Hill has undertaken in her almost 20 years working in care, so it makes her perfect for her role as the registered care manager at Middlesbrough Grange.

It means she has seen what goes into running a care home from all sides, and what first started as a weekend job for her, has become a fully-fledged career which she says she wouldn’t swap for the world.

Tracy, who became Manager at Middlesbrough Grange in February 2023, says: “It has definitely helped me that I have worked in so many different roles within a care home, and I was really pleased to become Manager.

“The owners share the same care ethos as I do and that’s all about ensuring that the needs of our residents always come first and that ultimately, it’s their home, and not ours.

“They are the be all and end all and it helps that we have a great staff team here at Middlesbrough Grange and that we get fantastic support from the residents’ families.”

Outside of work, mum-of-two Tracy enjoys spending time with her two cats and swimming and walking.
