The care team at Campsie View Care Home in Kirkintilloch are delighted to have received ‘Very Good’ and ‘Good’ ratings from the Care Inspectorate following their recent inspection.
The Four Seasons home, situated in Canal Street, which provides nursing, dementia, respite and end of life care, was praised for the “commitment to the people they supported and cared for”, in the report, which was based on an unannounced inspection from the social care regulator.
The home received scores of ‘Very Good’ in the evaluation areas of ‘How Good is our leadership’ and ‘How good is our staff team’ and ‘Good’ in ‘How well do we support people’s wellbeing’ and ‘How well is our care and support planned’.
The regulator reported that: “People experienced very good care and the quality and variety of meals were good. The activities provision was very good and was informed by what people wanted to do. People's bedrooms were very comfortable and had been personalised to a good standard.”
The report also noted that: “We observed caring and attentive interactions between staff and people experiencing care. This was inclusive of staff in different roles such as domestics, kitchen and maintenance staff. This contributed to the homely atmosphere and people having a sense of security. Links into the community had increased, with people going on outings, and visiting community shops and cafes.”
Relatives told inspectors that “The staff have been very good and I'm hard to please." and “I have absolutely no concerns, just amazing.”
The home’s manager, Nicola Brown, said: “We are extremely proud of this achievement which is testament to the entire team’s commitment and dedication. Providing great care is all about putting our residents’ health and happiness at the heart of everything we do.”
