Bere Grove, Horndean, has opened its doors in style, with a Grand Opening performed by Anthony Williams, Chairman of East Hants District Council, in front of invited guests from the local community. Genevieve Glover, Chief People Officer and General Manager, Alex Bowman, hosted the event.

Alex Bowman commented: “We are delighted our home is now open, our residents are at the heart of everything we do at Bere Grove, and we look forward to welcoming them and their families, and becoming an intrinsic part of the local community. We take pride in really getting to know each of our residents to provide tailored care and support, ensuring dignity and choice in every aspect of daily life.

Speaking at the opening event, Anthony Williams said: “I am delighted to be here to open Bere Grove care home. It is very good to see Barchester investing with such confidence in the future of care in the county – that investment will ensure not only top quality facilities and world-class care, but also jobs, training and a boost to the local economy. It is clear from everyone I have met today how dedicated the Barchester teams are to the people that they care for, and it’s reassuring to know that the people of Horndean and beyond will receive a warm welcome at Bere Grove, and that their needs will be met with respect and dignity.”

Genevieve Glover, added: “Bere Grove is going to be a wonderful home, Alex and her team here will offer personalised care for the people of Horndean and the surrounding area in this lovely setting. We’re thrilled to add Bere Grove to our Barchester family of quality care homes and hospitals.”
