Ascot Care is pleased to announce it has appointed a new Marketing and Community Engagement Manager, reaffirming its commitment to creating positive impact in the North East.
Gretel Dixon’s appointment into the newly created role comes as Ascot Care sets its eyes on long term growth, strengthening its service provision to residents, increasing engagement with the wider community, and showcasing its commitment to creating positive impact for all.
A native of Mexico, Gretel brings over 15 years’ expertise in communications, public relations, and corporate social responsibility, alongside an MBA and international work experience.
She has lived in the North East since arriving in the UK in 2013, working for purpose-led organisations including Newcastle University and Big Issue Invest, where she has headed a variety of community engagement and partnership development efforts involving working with local government, academic institutions, and small businesses to create social and economic impact in the region.
She had previously supported Ascot Care in a freelance capacity in 2018-19.
Gretel commented “I’ve always been passionate about doing work that helps others and creates positive impact, and I’m delighted to take up this new role and continue to support Ascot Care in enriching the lives of its residents and their families.
"I’m looking forward to developing initiatives to engage stakeholders for the benefit of the wider community and supporting Ascot Care’s vision for the future.”
The role will see Gretel support the company’s expansion objectives by enhancing Ascot Care’s community engagement, marketing and communications with a variety of stakeholders.
Gareth Nesbit, director at Ascot Care, welcomed Gretel’s appointment to the new role: “We’re delighted to welcome Gretel into Ascot Care. We want to solidify our longstanding reputation as a leader in the North East care sector, and Gretel’s appointment will help us achieve our goals.”
