Overall Experience

As the LPA for my Grandmother the family unfortunately came to the decision (following an accident and onset of dementia) that for her own safety we would have to place her in a home. The first home (emergency placement) nearly emotionally broke us. It was literally god waiting room / prison. No light, no air and whilst the staff were friendly they seemed distant due to the fact it was a rabbits warren. Then we found Langley House. It is bright, spacious, and laid out with a lovely garden accessible by the residents. The staff have been exceptional and my Grandmother has recovered her strength and sense of humour. At this rate she will outlive us all.

Everyone who works at St Annes are amazing! You all do an amazing job, the home is always really clean and well presented.
I cant thank you all enough for the care and attention youve gave towards my dad Colin.
Every aspect of the care you provide has helped him settle in.
Activities provided are great and always loads to do, days out for coffees are a brilliant touch too.
Always a great team effort with friendly staff, residents of the care home are always treated with dignity.

Overall Experience

Our mum was a resident at The Gardens for over three years and sadly passed away in early June. Throughout her time there, she received exceptional care, kindness and support from all the staff.

She was always treated with dignity, compassion and respect, and it was a great comfort to our family knowing she was safe, comfortable and well cared for.

The staff went above and beyond, not only looking after Mum but also supporting our family, particularly during her final days. Their professionalism, warmth and dedication made a difficult time much easier to bear.

We are especially grateful to the carers who showed Mum such kindness, patience and genuine affection every day. Their care meant so much to both Mum and our family.

Thank you to everyone at The Gardens. We would highly recommend the home to other families.

Overall Experience

My Dad spent twelve weeks in The Gardens receiving end of life care, he was so well looked after. Every single one of the staff were wonderful, they are caring and compassionate . They treat the residents with respect and care for them in a dignified way. We as a family always felt Dad was being well looked after and safe. We could go home and not worry about him. I got to spend some special times with him in his last days doing activities and going to various entertainment events in the home. There is always something for the residents to do if they want too. I really can't praise Hannah and Kirsty and the team there enough and will always be grateful for everything they did for Dad and us. I will remember them all forever.

Overall Experience

After deciding that our mother needed 24-hour care in December 2025 we looked at a number of care homes. We chose Princess House mainly because it was smaller than many other care homes and we felt that our mother wouldn't feel "lost" while living there. We also liked the friendliness of the staff and its situation looking out over the sea. The home is very clean and nicely decorated.
The staff are exceptionally kind and caring and look after the residents with care and thoughtfulness; nothing is too much trouble for them. Our mother is looked after so well and we know she is safe and happy there.

Our mother settled in very quickly and we couldn't be happier that we decided on Princess House.

We found princess house to be very welcoming and caring towards my mum. Staff really seemed to care about her safety and welfare and provided individualized care. The environment was clean well kept and she had a room with the spectacular view over the beach. My mum felt safe.

Lovely caring, attentive staff. Great location. Dad has dementia and obviously its a real worry when they have to come and live in a care home full time, but he voluntarily (without me asking) tells me he likes it there and that he is well looked after. I really feel that St Anne's is the right place for him.

The decor and furnishings could do with an update but my dad isn't bothered bout that. What's important is the care and that's good here.

I find that he level of care my mam receives is of a good standard, with carers often showing a good level of understanding while going "the extra mile", when carrying out the care delivery it comes across as them enjoying what they do and not just doing their job. When a carer told me they were an extended family to my mam, it filled me with a sense of reassurance that she is in good hands.

My father was admitted to Langley from hosptial where he had deteriorated both physically and mentally. The staff were welcoming, professional, and so very kind both to myself and my father. Due to their excellent care, my father has returned to his usual self. The staff at Langley, led by a brilliant manager, Joanne, are without exception wonderful. They have really made an effort to get to know my father and handle his dementia with sensitivity. Langley House is how care homes should be (in my professional capacity as a GP in Yorkshire, I have visited many, and I couldn't have chosen a better place for my father)
