Scarecrow Week

This week The Fountains Care Centre joined in with our Tetney Village Scare Crow Week! This was 6th July 2024 - 7th July 2024.

Our activities co-ordinator Nadine with residents Peggy, Lorna, Maureen, Dee, Amanda, George, Elsie, Brenda, Sylvia, Bryan.

We did a lady scarecrow sat in a wheelchair - stuffed the heads and arms with Straw. The room was very busy and was a straw massacre! We cut the hair with red cotton wool, Peggy, Maureen and Dee drew the faces.

Nadine took the body around and all residents took part in the stuffing process.

There were three scarecrows made - We had a builder fixing the wall, a footballer for the Euros and a lady in a wheelchair having a picnic.
