Chelmunds Court, part of the Runwood Homes Group, proudly hosted the 'You Are Not Alone' Café, an initiative designed to offer unwavering support, companionship, and valuable guidance to individuals and families with loved ones affected by dementia. The event, held on the 16th of July, took place in the home's welcoming café.

The idea for the 'You Are Not Alone' Café was conceived as a way to support families dealing with dementia. The event provided a perfect setting for attendees to connect over tea and cakes, lovingly baked by our talented staff member, Dorothy. The café was set up to feel homely and inviting, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and supported.

The local community was invited to participate in this heart-warming initiative. Social workers and professionals were also present to offer information and assistance regarding dementia. Families and residents joined the event, sharing their stories and experiences, creating a strong sense of community.

This event is vital as it fosters a supportive environment for those affected by dementia.
