Chelmunds Court has a high quality, innovative residential care and nursing home design, specially developed to provide expert care, in a safe and stimulating environment, for up to 73 older people.

Residents can enjoy mobilising around the curved corridors of the building’s quadrangle shape, which internally houses a safe, courtyard garden.

A central, dementia-friendly café has been designed as an environment to stimulate past memories, where residents can bring friends and relatives away from their natural residence. A corner activity room, complete with a low-level kitchen for group baking ease, has an external door positioned close to the Community Centre, to encourage community integration ease, including building beneficial intergenerational relationships.

Chelmunds Court is a 73 bed residential home offering compassionate, professional care for older people, especially those who are living with dementia, both residential and nursing. Centrally located in the Chelmsley Cross area of North Solihull this purpose-built care home is an integral part of one of the UK's largest-ever regeneration programmes.

Being a specialist provider of dementia care the Chelmunds Court team are well-placed to provide the 24-hour support, assistance and expert nursing required for all their residents.

The surrounding area has been extensively remodelled to provide state of the art leisure, healthcare, residential and community facilities, including new schools and green areas.

Chelmunds Court is an exceptional home where they have made my wife feel very welcome. They have cared for my wife in every way possible. From the first day, they have made her feel welcome and a part of the family. The activities and trips out have been brilliant, and they keep me up to date on how
she is. It is an exceptional care home with very understanding, caring and professional staff. Please keep up the good work.

My wife has been a resident here for 2 years now. The home and staff have provided excellent care for her. She has a lovely room with an adjacent bathroom. The staff are conscientious and caring, and communication has always been very good.

My mum has been a resident of Chelmunds Court since December 2023. As an experienced registered nurse I am looking for high standards of care from the pre admission contact onward Mums care has been superb - consistently gold standard. The motivation, professionalism and attention to detail of the management
team is reflected in the staff. In an industry that is often mediocre Chelmunds Court is an outstanding example of how tryly individualised care should be delivered. The ethos of care includes amazing emotional support with staff noticing and interacting with residents who are distressed or just 'feeling low' spending time to talk and calm them. This support also extends to families as I have gratefully experienced.

This is my second time having a relative stay here, my first being my Grandmother between 2019-2022, and now my Auntie. The staff are always so friendly and remembered myself and my family from before. The home is always clean and smells fresh. The residents all look happy and well looked after. It
is lovely seeing all the activities on offer for all residents.

Relieved to find a care home fit for purpose. Residents not kept in a day room all day if able to safely walk unaided. Brightly decorated areas, plenty of attention to detail. No restriction on when you can visit, open house, although meal times can be busy. Lovely activities & celebrations.

My sister-in-law came into Chelmunds Court for respite care. I can only say the staff were wonderful at welcoming her in and she settled straight away. The home is excellent at stimulating it's residents with something going on every day ie Valentines day, Mothers day, St Patricks day etc and taking
them out for walks or to a local garden centre for coffee & cake. It is important to relatives to know their loved ones are happy and cared for and this home is excellent at this and gives us peace of mind. Well done to all the staff - you do an excellent job.

I was reluctant to put Sandra (my wife) in a home, but I couldn't give her the care she needed. But when we came and saw Chelmunds Court home, I was over the moon, it was amazing. The staff were wonderful, the home is spotless, I couldn't wish for a better place for her. It's like home from home, with
amazing care. Thank you all, you are fantastic.

Chelmunds Court is an amazing home. All staff members treat Mom with respect, dignity, kindness and the utmost care, I wouldn't want Mom anywhere else. They are always supportive with relatives and the clients that live and reside in Chelmunds Court. Mom is always smilng and happy. The activities team
do a wonderful job in keeping the residents entertained with a variety of activities and keeping the residents stimulated. I would highly recommend Chelmunds Court to anyone who needs a home from home, to be genuinely cared for and treated with the utmost respect. Thank you to all the amazing staff.

My mother was a resident at Chelmunds Court from January 2024 until her passing on the 4th of February 2026. From the very first introductory call with Adele through to helping Mum settle into the home, the experience was excellent. The team took great care to understand Mum's vulnerabilities and were
sensitive to the concerns we had as a family about how she would adjust.
Mum quickly grew fond of all the staff and settled well into life at Chelmunds Court. She was always treated with thoughtfulness and dignity. The team kept us fully informed of any changes in her health and made sure we were aware of any recommendations regarding her dietary needs.
When Mum's health began to deteriorate in September 2024, her transition to the Nursing Suite on the first floor was seamless. We were kept updated throughout, and the staff on both floors were consistently attentive to Mum's needs. Their communication, compassion, and professionalism provided great comfort to our family during her final

My Father was a resident from August 2024 until he sadly passed away on the 18th December 2025.
There are not enough words of praise I can write that express how grateful we are as a family for the kindness, love, dignity and respect shown to our Father during his stay at Chelmunds Court, and for the
support was as a family received. From the nurses, carers, cleaning and kitchen staff, the care that my Father received was excellent, second to none. Always going the extra mile to ensure that Dad was comfortable and happy. Nothing was too much trouble. The end of life care was exceptional.
The home is extremely well run by Geraldine, and exceptionally clean and tidy. Always a smile and a warm, friendly welcome when visiting.
I highly recommend Chelmunds Court. They are amazing! Thank you so much.

My cousin is very happy at Chelmunds Court and we always feel welcomed by staff when we visit. The home is well organised and clean and his ensuite bedroom is very pleasant and of a good size. As we live over three hours drive away we don't visit every week, however, on all our visits we have been impressed
by the calm and caring atmosphere and also by the expertise of the staff caring for people with dementia and mobility problems. The food is appetising and well presented and between meals residents are encouraged to drink tea, juice or milk. The managers are always available to talk to us & the carer in charge of medication always rings me when there is a change so I feel involved. I have not rated activities as I have not been often enough to comment.

I have been a nurse for over 35 years and I have never been in a care home that I would be happy to go in myself. The staff are amazing, they make all the residents and their family feel like its their home. They treat everyone with the upmost respect and dignity and go the extra mile to make things
as comfortable as they can. Their end of life care is exemplary and the best I have ever come across in a care home.

Making the decision to admit Mom into a care home wasn't very easy on my dad and I ...but... The welcome Mom and we received was beautiful from all of the staff and the residents. It took away all of the anxiety & worry & Mom settled in straight away.
She loves the home & loves her room. She has been
out in the gardens & courtyard as well as in the communal areas & feels so at home. Cannot thank you all enough for giving Mom another 'home' to enjoy for the next years of her life. It means so much to us.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.829) out of 10 for Chelmunds Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 33 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.829 for Chelmunds Court is calculated as follows: ( (327 Excellents x 5) + (63 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 392 Ratings = 4.829
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Chelmunds Court is based on 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 73 registered maximum number of service users is 14.6, which has been reached with 33 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
