Chelmunds Court has a high quality, innovative residential care and nursing home design, specially developed to provide expert care, in a safe and stimulating environment, for up to 73 older people.

Residents can enjoy mobilising around the curved corridors of the building’s quadrangle shape, which internally houses a safe, courtyard garden.

A central, dementia-friendly café has been designed as an environment to stimulate past memories, where residents can bring friends and relatives away from their natural residence. Lounges and dining rooms are stocked with baked goods and coffee and tea facilities and act as activity and entertainment areas too.

A corner activity room, complete with a low-level kitchen for group baking ease, has an external door positioned close to the Community Centre, to encourage community integration ease, including building beneficial intergenerational relationships.

Chelmunds Court is a 73 bed residential home offering compassionate, professional care for older people, especially those who are living with dementia, both residential and nursing. Centrally located in the Chelmsley Cross area of North Solihull this purpose-built care home is an integral part of one of the UK's largest-ever regeneration programmes.

Being a specialist provider of dementia care the Chelmunds Court team are well-placed to provide the 24-hour support, assistance and expert nursing required for all their residents.

The surrounding area has been extensively remodelled to provide state of the art leisure, healthcare, residential and community facilities, including new schools and green areas.

Chelmunds Court in Chelmsley Wood benefits greatly from being at the heart of such an important new social project and a new community has been created which residents are a proud part of.

The nursing and domestic staff looked after my father-in-law with compassion and professionalism. We never worried about him as we knew he was being looked after so well. They kept me fully informed of any changes in his condition. The home itself is beautiful and kept spotless. The food was nutritious
and appetising. Our family can't thank you enough for all the wonderful care you gave him and our family.

It was an emotional day I visited my sister. But I could not say how surprised at how happy and contented my sister was and so well looked after and the care given is absolutely outstanding. I left just as they were serving lunch. It looked delicious and well prepared and served with a happy smiling
face. The respect shown to the residents was also one that took my breath away. The facilities were clean with different areas to sit and have a cuppa to have special times to share. Her room was clean and plenty of places to store her possessions and en-suite facilities. Thank you for looking after my sister, she is and always will be a special, caring person and deserves to be happy with not a care in the world and full contentment.

Mom has been a resident here since January.
Mom suffers with dementia and the day having to put mom into care was a mixture of emotions and one of the hardest decisions we had to do. I’m so glad to say that Mom has been so happy here since the first day she arrived. The staff are wonderful, they are
kind compassionate and caring and couldn’t fault them for the wonderful care they have shown Mom. I love that the residents have many activities going on to keep them stimulated. The staff will always chat with you If you have any concerns or worries nothing is too much for them. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for looking after Mom the way you do.

Sadly, my father-in-law passed away Friday 7th July. What excellent end-of-life care they gave to him. All staff were amazing. Food and drink were provided all day. His beloved wife passed in March in the same home. As a family, we would like to thank each and every one of the staff. We will miss visiting

My grandmother has spent the last two years here and has recently passed away. My gran's care has been gold star standard from day one. Nothing has been too much for the staff. In the final week of my gran's life, the staff's attentiveness to both her and the family members that wished to be by her
side was amazing and made a very emotional time that little bit easier. The best decision we made as a family was to trust Chelmunds Court Care Home to care for my grandmother in her final years.

Mum has been in Chelmunds Court Care Home for a few weeks now. In that time she has been very well looked after. Every single member of staff has been kind, compassionate and seems to have a good relationship with each resident.
Her personal care is well catered for and her room and clothes are always

On arrival, Mom was frail, physically and mentally, exhausted, in decline, recently blind and 98. When we visit her now, she is bright, relaxed, mobile with assistance, cheeky and demanding. The staff's care has improved every facet of her well-being exponentially. The family are more relaxed because
she is cared for and safe. We are no longer apprehensive before visiting. Staff have been responsive to both Mom's needs and our concerns, too many examples for us to list. The other services that are on offer have been very beneficial. The interaction with the staff is based on them having a very personal relationship with Mom. It is apparent this level of care is given to all residents. The staff go above and beyond.

Very welcoming and caring staff. Always willing to help. Rooms are overall clean but, as with dementia, lots of things are mislaid or go missing. Sometimes there is some confusion with handover as the next carer is not always aware of discussions when asked. Overall though, I am happy for my father

Mom always appears clean and, from what I have seen of the meals, well-fed. She has started to make use of the things available, i.e. chiropodist and hairdresser, and when anything is wrong with her or she needs toiletries I am kept well informed.

My sister only recently moved to this home. The room is spacious and clean, she has her own washing facilities and adequate furnishing. She seemed content. The ground floor allows for access to the quad and a door leading out to it makes an ideal place to sit with visitors.

My mom was a resident at Chelmunds Court Care Home for three years and two months. Unfortunately, she recently passed away after suffering with dementia for twelve and a half years. The home was always well kept, clean and a beautiful environment with an air of peace and tranquillity. I visited my mom
at least three times per week (apart from when there were Covid restrictions) and always received a warm welcome from staff. They looked after my mom brilliantly both physically, she was always clean and well dressed, and emotionally, including her in activities even though she was bed-bound and unable to communicate. They made her final years comfortable and the best they could’ve been for someone suffering with dementia. They were always supportive of myself and my family and offered us a shoulder to lean on to help us cope with watching our family member decline with this terrible illness - the staff are truly angels in every way and I can’t thank them enough.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the Philippines, and my ultimate life goal is to taste every cuisine the world has to offer. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me at the cinema, cooking up something delicious, or even tackling a satisfying pile of laundry.
