Chef Jolly looking very smart in his ‘Mealtimes Matter’ apron, as he worked on the floors during lunch service to ensure the meals he cooked were served correctly, and look good too! ??

Our lunch service runs between 12:30-1:30pm and is part of our ‘Protected Mealtimes’. This means having no unnecessary noise, no hovers, no hammering, no loud voices, and any other avoidable noise during this time.

We also ask visitors to avoid mealtimes, unless joining their loved one to eat or assisting them to eat. We avoid planning meetings, training and inviting visiting professionals to the home during mealtimes.

Then it is ‘all hands on deck’ as all staff available including managers, housekeeping, activities, kitchen, maintenance & finance departments stop what they are doing to focus on mealtimes.

This approach supports our care team to spend more time with our residents, particularly those who need assistance, to help them enjoy their meals.

It also gives our residents the opportunity to let us know their feedback and any issues are reported to our catering team where they can be rectified immediately.
