At Oaklands, we take great pride in adopting the latest innovative care technology to benefit our residents and their families.

We were delighted that Ally Cares chose to feature our resident and her family, talking about the positive impact the latest AI technology has had on their lives.

During the interview with Ally Cares, Christine Herbert, the daughter of our lovely 99 year old resident, says she was astonished that Ally’s AI night-time monitoring technology existed. But the technology plays a crucial role in her mother’s safety and provides great reassurance of her wellbeing. It also played a big part in choosing Oaklands as a safe and secure home for her mother.

Here are just some of the ways Ally’s AI night-time monitoring technology has helped:

Improved night-time safety

Before moving to Oaklands, Christine’s mother would get up or call for assistance four times a night, since moving to Oaklands, Christine has noticed an improvement in her mother’s night-time behaviour, as her need for assistance was reduced to two. Christine attributes this change to the quick response time facilitated by Ally. With the system in place, her mother no longer has to wait long periods for assistance, leading to less disruption in her sleep.

Positive for Wellbeing

Ally’s system has had a positive impact on Christine’s mother’s wellbeing and her own, as she felt reassured that any help would be available whenever she needed it. This knowledge has helped to reduce her night time anxiety, allowing her to sleep more soundly.
