Longview Residents Enjoy Classic Seaside Trip to Southend

Residents at Longview Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, were all smiles on Friday 11th April as they headed out on a bus trip to Southend for some much-loved traditional fun. Organised by the lifestyle team, the group enjoyed fish and chips followed by ice cream by the beach, embracing the sunshine and good vibes all the way.

One resident, Jean B, shared her delight, "I love getting out and about. I haven't been at Longview for long, but I've been out often and am very impressed with the trips so far!"

The outing was one of Longview’s regular adventures with their dedicated driver, Gus. This particular trip was inspired by residents’ requests for fish and chips—and an extra scoop of ice cream! They were joined by Lifestyle team member Frankie and five enthusiastic residents.

Everyone enjoyed the warm weather and seaside breeze. A standout moment from the day was when everyone joined in a singalong of “Oh I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside” on the bus—perfectly capturing the spirit of the day.
