Egg-citing Easter celebrations across the Excelcare Family

Easter weekend was full of egg-citement across the Excelcare Family, as teams in our homes hosted a joyful weekend of springtime celebrations.

At Aliwal Manor Care Home, the team invited their local community to join in the fun by hosting an Easter Egg Hunt around town. Plastic eggs were hidden in the local area, and those who found them could return them to Aliwal Manor in exchange for a chocolate egg.

After seeing the challenge announced on Facebook, local people eagerly took part, searching high and low for the hidden eggs. The Easter Bunny was waiting at Aliwal Manor with a basket full of chocolate treats for those who brought one back!

The activity was a big hit with the community, with almost all of the eggs successfully returned. Meanwhile, inside the home, people took part in an Easter Bonnet Competition, decorating their creations with spring-themed items and colourful Easter shapes.

Photos of the bonnets were shared on Facebook, and the online community voted for their favourites. In the end, there was a four-way tie – so all four winners received a chocolate egg for their wonderful efforts!

At Park Avenue Care Home in Bromley, the team hosted a variety of craft activities, from making Easter egg nests to designing bird feeders for the garden. Everyone got into the spirit of spring!

Easter games and an egg hunt around the home added to the fun, sparking fond memories of past celebrations with family.

It was a truly special occasion, filled with joy, creativity, and plenty of sweet moments to treasure.
