Dobbie's Community Garden Initiative Winner

We’re absolutely over the moon to share that Rubislaw Park Care Home has won the Dobbie's Community Garden Competition!

Our Home Manager Kayleigh and Activities Manager Rosie attended the ceremony to collect the award on behalf of the whole Rubislaw team, and were genuinely shocked, delighted, and incredibly grateful to be chosen!

Dobbie's recently partnered with Alzheimer’s UK, and we truly can’t think of a more meaningful collaboration—two projects working together with heart, purpose, and community at the centre.

Thanks to this amazing grant, Dobbie's will now be helping us completely revitalise our sensory garden, which sadly suffered significant damage over the winter ??. Their expert team will not only assist with the rebuild, but will also guide us in choosing the best low-maintenance, sensory-friendly plants that bloom with colour all year round and can withstand the chilly Scottish climate.

Even better, they’ll also be sharing expert tips with our team to help us care for and sustain our garden for many years to come.

We are so honoured to have been chosen, and beyond thankful to be working with such a generous, knowledgeable, and community-minded organisation. This project will mean the world to our residents, their families, and the wider Rubislaw community.
