Barchester’s Charitable Foundation has proudly donated £1,680 to the Solihull Moors Foundation to support its Over 65's group, helping to provide refreshments over the course of 42 weeks.

This generous contribution will enhance the weekly sessions held for local residents aged 65 and over, creating a warm and welcoming environment where attendees can stay connected, socialise, and engage in community activities. The donation reflects Barchester’s ongoing commitment to supporting older people and tackling isolation through meaningful local partnerships.

The funding will also help the group with bringing engaging and informative sessions directly to the community and creating new opportunities for interaction and learning. This initiative strengthens ties between the Solihull Moors Foundation, local older residents, and Barchester’s Fountains care home, fostering a sense of unity and belonging.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Barchester’s Charitable Foundation for their support,” said a spokesperson from the Solihull Moors Foundation. “This funding will make a huge difference in ensuring our Over 65s group continues to thrive, offering a vital lifeline for older people to stay socially active and connected.”

Barchester’s Charitable Foundation continues to champion grassroots initiatives that enrich the lives of older adults and adults with a disability, and this partnership with the Solihull Moors Foundation is another step in building stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.
