DISCO FEVER HITS THE MOUNTAINS!

Who says care homes are quiet? Not us!

The Mountains Care Home in beautiful Brecon turned down the lights and turned up the funk as residents grooved the afternoon away at our very own Disco Party Extravaganza!

With classic tunes from the 70s and 80s filling the air our lounges were transformed into a retro nightclub, complete with sensory lights, glowing vibes, and plenty of sparkle. The curtains were closed, the disco ball (well, a few clever lamps and torches) came to life, and every resident got their very own battery-powered glow stick to wave in time with the beat.

From dancing queens to boogie kings, everyone joined in! Our fantastic activities coordinator and staff were right there on the ‘dance floor’, leading the way with big smiles and even bigger moves. Not to be outdone, our wonderful staff got the party going, helping residents up for a little shimmy, sway, or seated groove.

The room was alive with laughter, song, and a whole lot of sparkle. At The Mountains, we believe in living life to the fullest—music, movement and memory-making included. Stay tuned for our next themed party… because when it comes to fun, we’re just getting started!
