As Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead, Sue plays a vital role in supporting residents and staff. She oversees clinical care, guides the team, and ensures that every resident continues to receive compassionate, respectful support no matter how their needs change.
Having swapped the sea for the mountains, Sue has embraced her new community with enthusiasm. She is committed to building strong relationships with residents, staff, and families, always maintaining an open-door policy for conversations, phone calls, and support.

Taryn joined The Mountains nearly two years ago and brings a wealth of experience as an adult nurse specialising in dementia care. She qualified at the University of South Wales and, having grown up in Nelson, Caerphilly, has always had a passion for supporting older people, particularly those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia – a journey she began at just 18 years old.
As Clinical Lead, Taryn focuses on the health and well-being of residents, supporting their everyday needs and ensuring person-centred care is delivered with compassion. She also works closely with the management team and supports fellow nurses to provide the very best standards of care.
Taryn enjoys being part of The Mountains, valuing both the supportive team and the warm, welcoming environment. For her, the setting of the home and the sense of community make it a special place to work.
