Residents at RMBI Care Co. Home Prince George Duke of Kent Court, in Chislehurst have been exploring their creative side during an art session hosted by the Activities Coordinator team. Research has shown that arts and crafts can have many benefits. It can improve your mood, stimulate your brain and enhance your motor skills. On top of that, it also encourages people to socialise when carried out as a group activity.

Armed with paint brushes and a variety of coloured paint, residents worked on a series of seaside themed paintings. Resident Trish says: “Art is something that has been with me for many years; it’s one of the most wonderful activities that I’ve always enjoyed. It’s even more fun to do with the staff and my fellow resident friends here, at the Home.”

Diane, one of the Activities Coordinators at Prince George Duke of Kent Court commented: “I always enjoy doing art sessions with the residents as it is very therapeutic. Seeing their hidden talents is wonderful; it makes my job very pleasant.”
