Greek-themed afternoon!

Everyone here at Lincroft Meadow would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful resident Peter's daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Nick, for organising a fantastic Greek-themed afternoon this month.

Lynne and Nick gave a fabulous talk entitled "A House in Greece," all about their home on the island of Skopelos. They recounted a collection of interesting and funny tales about navigating another culture to purchase and then renovate the house. This was accompanied by a beautiful selection of photographs of the house and the island, which provided a lovely insight into life on Skopelos. Our talented chefs then treated us to a delicious tasting menu of traditional homemade Greek dishes, including tzatziki, hummus, souvlaki, lamb koftas, pita and Greek salad, followed by rizogalo (rice pudding) and of course, baklava. The food was amazing and evoked many happy memories of holidays in Greece and warm evenings spent in tavernas.

Thank you so much to everyone who was involved in making this such a special afternoon. Yamas!
