After almost 8-years of continuous service a care practitioner at Wood Grange in Bourne has now embarked on a new venture into nursing studies with his team at Wood Grange. The home prepared a special celebration for his temporary farewell until his return from ARU Peterborough with hopes to be a qualified nurse.
Daniel McAllen now Care Partitioner started at Barchester in March 2017, starting out as a Carer, progressing his career to senior carer to his current role and responsibilities. Daniel has worked with residents and their relatives to ensure that their needs have been met over the years to the highest standard, demonstrating his determination and commitment and the home wish him luck as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.
Adele Keenan, Employee Services Director at Barchester said: “I’m always pleased to hear stories about the success and achievements of Barchester staff and I am delighted Daniel McAllen is taking steps to further his education to become a qualified nurse. It is dedication like this that ensures our residents are provided with a happy place to live.”
Daniel said: “Wood Grange is like a family to me and though I’m looking forward to my studies, I’m really going to miss everyone here so much!”
