This October, residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Crofton Springs Care Home in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, are marking Harvest Festival with kindness at the heart of their celebrations. The home is giving back to the local community including donating food items to Cheltenham Foodbank and by creating hampers filled with essential items and delicious treats, which will be gifted to members of the congregation at St Mark’s Church.
To make these hampers extra special, Crofton Springs is encouraging friends, families, and members of the wider community to get involved by donating non-perishable food items such as dry goods, tins, and other long-life foods. A donation station has been set up at the home, where contributions can be dropped off. All donations need to be received by 1st October 2025, after which the hampers will be carefully packaged and delivered to St Mark’s Church.
This celebration follows a summer of joy and activity at Crofton Springs, where residents enjoyed events and gatherings that made the most of the warmer months. As the home looks ahead to the colder autumn days, Harvest Festival provides the perfect opportunity to come together, reflect, and support those in the community who may need a little extra warmth and kindness.
Crofton Springs is just one of over 280 kind and cosy HC-One care homes across the UK. Offering expert residential, residential dementia, and respite care, the home is known for its modern, welcoming environment and commitment to fostering a strong sense of community.
New residents can also take advantage of a special seasonal offer: three weeks for the price of two when joining before 30th November 2025.
Help us spread joy this Harvest Festival! Every donation – big or small – makes a real difference. Together, we can ensure this season is filled with warmth, generosity, and community spirit.

Elaine Andrews, Home Manager at HC-One’s Crofton Springs Care Home, said:
“Harvest Festival is such a special time of year, and we wanted to celebrate it in a way that reflects the kindness and community spirit we value so much here at Crofton Springs. Our residents have loved being involved in preparing the hampers and collaborating with Cheltenham Foodbank to drop off food donations to those in need, and it’s wonderful to see families and neighbours joining us by donating items to help make them truly special. We’re also really looking forward to delivering them to St Mark’s Church and spreading a little joy this autumn.”
