Dovecote celebrates three decades of care

Residents, their loved ones and staff from Dovecote Residential Care Home in High Spen recently held a community party to celebrate the home's 30th anniversary.

The home was filled with live music and laughter for the joyous celebrations, with guest of honour, Councillor Freda Geddes, Mayor of Gateshead, cutting the celebration cake.

Activities coordinator at the not-for-profit home, Chloe Bell, who organised the event said: "Everybody loved it - the residents and their families had a wonderful time and are still talking about it today - they asked if we could do it every week! Every member of the fantastic team here worked together to make the day really special."
